I am extremely close to having an affair. Let me give you some details.

Been married for 8 years
Not had any relations for 7
Faded 3 years ago.
In middle of getting divorced

Please give me a reason not to have an affair. I will give serious consideration to all posts.

It might make the divorce more expensive, and it might drag your new partner into the mess if your wife claims that your adultery was a factor in the marriage. You've waited this long, keep it in your pants for a few months longer!

Of course, if your legal counsel says it's OK, go for it. You certainly have no reason to feel guilty about seeking affection elsewhere.

If you're in the middle of getting divorced it wouldn't be an affair as i take it you've split? This is jw mindset, if you have split up with your wife, even thought you're still married it is not an affair.

My wife is getting 50% of all my wealth anyhow. It is extremely unlikely I will get found out.

I've just gone through exactly the same thing this year. Had been married 12yrs. I followed my heart and had the affair. I was very much in love and couldn't stop it. Personally, I've never regretted it one sec. It was an amazing experience for me after being so miserable for many years. Of course, I'd never done it if I was still happy in marriage and under WTs strong influence but luckily I'm out now and free and happy!

I say, go for it! Follow your feelings and what feels right for you.
