The sad thing is that some people, some very very stupid people, take things like this as evidence that global warming is not happening.
six,
Why do you have to be such a bitch?

Climate change has occured for the last 20,000 years, hot and freezing cold without our help....Al Gore is a false Prophet!
"I am a scientist" You've said that a few times on this forum, but you've never explained what that means or your field of expertise. I know that Kudra on the forum is a scientist actually working climate issues. She is well aware of the facts that show evidence of ghg caused warming. From your scientific expertise, what do you know that she doesn't? 1st degree Chemistry 2nd Degree Material Science and Engineering Masters Degradation of Engineering Materials
Your mentioning all of the above, is cynicism, not skepticism. There is a big difference. Learn it, and you'll be a much better scientist.
thanks - I am alwys looking to improve in many ways and not just as a scientist. Snearing at me wont make me change my mind. Good reasoning may and good data but then that is good science
Sometimes in life you find the best cynics are sceptics and the most sceptics are cynics
Yet other scientists disagree....there are two sides to the arguement.
Yet other scientists disagree....there are two sides to the arguement. ABSOLUTELY

I see this has turned into a global warming debate. Setting that aside, Six's original post in reply to BTS's first post is valid: global warming cannot be disproven by a simple cold day here or there. Hell, it can't even be disproven by a colder-than-normal winter. It's about climate trends over a long period of time.
Is global warming real? It still seems that the majority of climatologists think so. And it makes sense: we are dumping more greenhouse gases (like CO2) into the atmosphere than ever before. That will warm things up a bit. Will it be as devastating as Al Gore makes it out to be? Who knows.
