ok when i was in london last.............. this gentleman was on the street handing out flyers trying to get people to speak out against guns............ he offered me one............. i said " when you pry my cold dead fingers off mine brother" and walked on past smileing.
same visit......... every night on the news there were breaking stories about knives and the stabbings that were happening all over town, and how they were record breaking numbers.............(admitaddly less than probably the gun crimes in the states for a simular size city)
i think that there is one truth that is unavoidable.............. when guns or knives are banned............... only the criminals will have them and carry them daily. I also think that not everyone should be allowed to carry, because i know some serious morons that would most likely shoot themselves and anyone around them if they ever held a gun. im whats called a RESPONSIBLE gun owner, i dont carry unless im going somewhere i might need to (in the woods around wild animals) and all my guns are locked up so that NO ONE can gain access without several keys.and the combination to the safe. i will not have a child shoot themselves with my guns, or someone steal them to hold up a place.
but then again thats just me

The papers here sensationalise knife crime here, yes it is bad i know - in places, but most of the time it is criminals using against criminals , and that point is forgotten.

Ninja, LOVELY example of an ad hominem argument!! Thank you, I'm gonna use it in my next talk as an illustration.

Apparently, the British are not civilized enough anymore to be trusted with firearms. They can't even handle knives anymore. Incipient, creeping, socialism, propaganda, and indoctrination destroys a people.
Me? I want to add to my collection a relic of the bygone days where a well dressed British gentleman was an armed gentlemen, where Sherlock Holmes could pocket a Webley, and the excellent Lee-Enfield was the offical rifle of the empire.

BTS,
Your comments show just how little you know about this country. Aside from the fact that Holmes was a fictional character, you want to go back to a time when petty crime was rife, life was cheap and poverty and lack of healthcare was the norm. What like America is now? No, thanks.

Looks like I ruffled a few feathers. Apparently, our resident tiger knows little about this country.

Like petty crime is'nt rife there now? Look at MOST of your crime stats compared to here, Caedes, such as simple assault.
