Why do you have to say ANYTHING when they come over? Have them sit down...ask them what they came over for. Listen, thank them, tell them you will take what they said under consideration. Show them the door.

Eyeslice, I was thinking maybe it was their yearly visits to the df'd and missing.....but they usually do that in the Spring. They haven't came back here since I told them it wasn't something I would have chosen for myself but I was born into it. But then I was already df'd (22 years ago).
They know the "faders" are apostates. Trying all they can to flush them out and save as many "spiritually endangered spouses" as they can.

The most simple and effective thing to do: Don't open your door. Just ignore them!
I'm amazed at how people feel an overwhelming compulsion to answer a ringing phone and open a knocking door.

EYESLICE- Try to avoid meeting with them at all - but if your wife insists - just briefly explain that like UNDERCOVER said, you are " working through some things " and that you have concerns that are of a " personal nature " and even stretch it and play the " I've been depressed " card and that " it's personal, I'd rather not talk about it ". That way they can't hold anything you say against you. Just don't say too much.
And whatever you do ( you know this as you used to be an elder ) , for God's sake - don't say you don't believe the faithful slave is appointed by Jehovah or that He is NOT using the organization. If you don't want to lie - just say " I have very deep personal feelings about it " - and say NOTHING more . It's none of their business actually what you think and feel. But because they are " mind control" artists - they are trying to make it their business. Be smart - don't play their game. You don't owe them ANY explanation. Good luck, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

We all know that Sacolton. The kicker is if you tell the emperor he has no clothes, you'll lose your family.
THAT is probably what I hate the most about them--forcing people to hold their tongues because family members still believe the lie.
