May 15th WT- " Wife's Dedication to Jehovah more Important than Marriage "

  I wanted to make just a thread for this statement of mind control as it was very blatant . In the May 15th witness only WT under the article "Husbands, Imitate Christ's Love ! " it states, " If you are a Christian husband, remember that your wife is also your Christian sister. HER DEDICATION TO JEHOVAH TAKES PRECEDENCE OVER HER MARRIAGE VOW, regardless of whether she was baptized before or after marrying you. " Translation : Your wife is married to Jehovah / WT society, not you.

  Then another strange comment when advising elders to get cooperation among other elders to help with responsibilities at the kingdom hall so each elder could free up time for their wives. Notice this : " Remember , a number of brothers could undoubtedly perform the congregation tasks assigned to you , but you are the ONLY BROTHER united to your wife in wedlock. " I hope so ! Jeez. I mean doesn't it go without saying that YOU are the " only brother united to your wife in wedlock " ? Unless of course the WT society thinks the " brothers " in the congregation somehow can service your wife better or handle the " task " of taking care of her as well !

  I mean, they write this stuff for an 8 year old mentality ! If you are a Jehovah's Witness - just remember your wife or husband is married to Jehovah first - and you second, or not at all !   Does that principle apply to christian wives baptised before 1985 when they changed the dedication vows? In regards to servicing other elders wives, that assignment would definitely beat the heck out of being the territory servant!

  Yes this is the deliberate attempt to put a lock and key on to people, its this kind of mental manipulation by the

  WTS that splits up many of marriages. Another way of looking at it is they want to keep as many people enslaved to them at all costs,

  so if a couple begins to have doubts together there is more likely a chance of keeping at least one of the partners.

  In other words your relationship with Jehovah is placed above any other ones that you may have, even your husband or wife.

  And you wonder why there are so many JW divorces !

  I hope I don't disappoint you, but the WT has been saying that crap about wives being dedicated to "Jehovah" for ages.

  As for the second comment, they are actually being flattering to the JW women here: they're cautioning husbands to give their wives attention since other brothers could take care of the congregation tasks.

  One thing that one realizes over time is that the WT is very good at this form of double-speak. Today they say "take care of your wife; she's very important". Tomorrow, they'll say "christian elders, are you taking care of God's flock as Jesus would?".

  And at any time, they can refer back to any of those statements to fit the moment. They can never be wrong.

  What they're saying is that there are more and more switched on brothers waking up to the truth about the Org and trying to tell their wives about it. That article is for the wives, remind them that their loyalty is to the Org not their husbands; don't listen to your apostate husbands. And husbands, if you try and talk to your wives about this stuff, well, they're gonna leave you...
