Great!!!! This is all I need. Me and the wife are going thru a difficult time because she knows how i feel about the WT. She's already threatning to go to the elders if I don't, about my doubts and questioning the slave class. After she reads this article, and she will, it will just make her feel more justified in ratting me out. Believe it or not she will actually think this article was witten just at the right moment to help her decide who to choose, me or God.. WT.

@ whereami - my point exactly. Divide and conquer...

Interesting.
Are they saying that it is easier for a JW man to leave his Non-JW wife than it is for a JW woman to leave her non-JW husband? (Like islamic law)

@ elsewhere - no, I think they're saying it's easier for a JW wife to leave her doubting JW husband than it is for a JW wife to leave her non-JW husband.

I'm glad that put in print so plainly.
This has always been the belief and it has been alluded to in print but, to my recollection, not quite as boldly as this quote.
This can be evidence for divorce lawyers everywhere. If a zealous JW mate tries to leave/divorce a doubting or apostasizing mate with no other grounds than this teaching from the Society, they'll have a tough time getting sympathy from the courts.

Yes, this has always been the WTS party line for wives. I remember my mother bringing it up repeatedly to my non-JW father.
I agree with PP, it is a reminder to women that, if their husband's get out of line, they need to rat them out and then throw them out. Wifely subjection is second only to FDS subjection.

Any questions about why it is called the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger?

Does anyone have a scan of this? It is an important keeper to show anyone who is not a JW but is involved with one

In my family's case, this proved to be some protection from my abusive non-jw father. If what he asked us to do (sexual or otherwise) went against God's law, we did not have to do it. It was a tricky path to know when to choose to disobey my father.

Nothing new here.
Jehovah always comes first (in print).
