  Ya.....and how many marriages are totally screwed up because of crap like this? This religion destroyed my grandparents marriage. As soon as she got "the troof" my grandmother put my grandpa in the back seat for the remainder of his life. The religion came first and foremost and if grandpa was unhappy, oh well too bad. I recall more than once my grandma insinuating that life could be soooo much more better if only he would become a Witness. The fact that he didn't believe it was 'the truth' made absolutely no difference. My grandma was a wonderful grandmother, but unfortunately in hindsight, she was not a good wife. Grandpa's feelings were NEVER taken into consideration at all.

  I know of several people in the exact same situation. Makes me absolutely sick to my stomach.

  MARY- Thanks for the scan of the WT . I'm so sorry your granfather had to suffer through life like that and not get the love and respect he needed from his wife. The witness cult is cruel and there are so many stories of relationships breaking up due to either the husband or the wife loving the WT society more than their mate. My first marriage of 19 years to a witness woman went down in flames I truly believe for this very reason. Among other reasons as well

  When they say "God" they mean WTBTS. Which, having been JWs, we all know. At least those of us who finally have the luxury of being honest with ourselves.

  Of course, you're too stupid to realize that it's not "commitment to God" that's the problem Reniaa----in reality, they're telling you you have to put the religion ahead of your mate. That's what causes all the problems---not God.

  MARY- Yes I agree with MOUTHY, thanks again for posting the article. And yes- the WT society does tell witnesses to put the cult first before their mates.

  RENAIAA- The " evil " here is the Jehovah's Witnesses are so unbalanced in showing WAY TOO MUCH devotion, not to God, but to the mind controlling cult the WT society which tries to take the place of God , YVHV, YHWH, Jehovah- or whatever He is. And they do this to THE EXCLUSION of devotion to their spouses , children, and relatives thinking it's more important to pound on doors than being kind, compassionate, and loving towards your family. And it is MEANT to be that way by the WT society. It's designed to be that way, and that's how they want your devotion.
