Just wanded to introduce myself before I start posting on this forum. I left the cult about 10 or so months ago, there was only one reason for me to stay and 10,000 to leave. In the process of leaving I lost my wife. We are going through a divorce right now and I am trying to get custody of my 5 month old son. I would not want to try to take him away from his mother, but I think everyone here knows what will happen if he is raised (indoctrinated) with my wife. I really hope that he will not sever ties with me one day, this is my new goal to keep this from happening. I am writing a short story of what has happened in my life ect. But its not done and I will post it when it is finished.

It is always great to see new faces here. Even better there are new faces arriving practically every day.
It is never good to hear the painful stories of some.
At least there are those here who can understand first hand what you are going through.
As I find myself saying to quite a few of the new faces, its clear the WT doesn't lead to Jesus after all.

Welcome, and let me say that I admire you for doing the right thing. I will pray that you receive that custody, although I believe it will be a tough battle. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater as you leave the organization!

Welcome and good luck! Even if you don't get custody, try to get joint custody, so you can make decisions about education, or at least pursue medical power of attorney.
