see what i mean. i have an opinion and everyone wants to hang me. so i agree with reniaa, i have agreed with some crazy stuff spewed by others on here. the second i go against the majority, you want to push me out the window. you complain about jws being judgemental and not hearing you out, and you do the same crap. some of you need to get over yourselves and wake up. the jw life wasnt for you, feel good about where you stand. i make one comment and i have people telling me what i believe and what i dont "high mind control group" and crap. i said i dont think the baby should be away from it's mother. that is what i said. whether she is a jw or not. i feel sorry for children that are not with their mother. it is horrible. that is what i said. but what else should i expect. i dont listen to your "mother" - the jwn. oops, sorry. maybe i am in the wrong place today.

no one wants to hang you, I don't. I just disagree. A father has a right to go for custody if he feels that it would be better for him to care for his child instead of the mother.

I'm in the same boat.

I made my exit from the Watchtower (disassociated Feb '08) and my active JW wife stayed in. During that time, she completely fell out of love with me. Why? Well, the Watchtower teaches that those who leave are "apostates", "spawns of Satan", "Enemies of God", and "a dog who has return to its vomit". They completely removed God from our marriage. She lost all respect for me. Although she did finally make her own exit ... the damage was done and we are going through a divorce.

People fight for custody over their children for a variety of reasons. Why is not wanting your child to be raised in a cult a bad reason? I think its a great reason! It would also provide a valid argument in court as to why the mother should not get custody. Obviously by her membership in a religious cult she has demonstrated her mental instability. Were the child to get sick and need a life saving blood transfusion the mother would allow the child to die.

I suspect Reniaa's real motivation in her "outrage" is love for her religion, a religion which has demonstrated on countless occasions a severe lack of protection over it's young members. How many JW children would be alive today if they had received organ transplants, taken medical vaccinations, been given blood transfusions, and been protected from sexual molesters leading to their suicide?
