A prediction of future events that wasn't written down AFTER those events would be nice.

    LWT,

Jesus had no issuw with Pork or marriage, on the contray.

As for martyrdom, well...None of us are into that, well....I am sure under the right circumstance all can be martyrs for what they believe in.

    Okey Dokey.

Let me just say that I have no objections to being "more like Christ" if this simply means being a good neighbor and following the Golden Rule.

Perhaps that can be common ground for us.

Jesus left one very important commandment, perhaps more than any other since, from that commandment, everything flows:

Love each other as I have loved you.

The man loved sinners, rejects, he touched and cure lepers, hemorging women, the outcasts of society.

I short, Jesus was the kind of person we all strive to be.

I think those are good things to strive to be,,providing we don't follow some of the bad idea's that the bible uses to scare people with I'm OK with that, I see it as more benign form of interpretation god in this. Have you ever pondered why the bible would use the scare tactics of of a jealous god and some of the motivations of it's writing about the Deity who requires vengeance. And if I might ask what are your views.
