Many here have abandoned the Bible as "the Word of God" and there are numerous reasons for said abandonment. However what I am interested in finding out is if the Bible is the word of God, then what would you expect to find?

Very good question.
It seems impossible to know without a preconceived idea of what "God" should be (and "say" or "inspire" if not "write").
That's the apory of revelation. Unless it is already known it cannot be recognised.

If the bible was the word of God, it would have answers to all our questions.
It has answers to many of them and we dont like the answers.

Yeah. But then it really didin't need all those other bits, and it wouldn't have needed a synod to determine what's "in" the Bible.
