I view the US as not being the star leader of the world, but China and Saudi Arabia (thought Islamic proliferation) taking the lead.

This is sad, as neither China nor Islam permits any dissent or freedom as we know it. I remember so vividly those students in Tienaman Square . . . as well as the Iranian lawyer who represented the adulteress who recently fleed Iran to save his life after the government went after him for merely defending her.

I think the next front is to modenize the world to the concept of freedom of thought and the freedom to change thoughts (and religions). Without the ability to express and change our thoughts and religion, we are to become virtual slaves to another god.

Same way as I view my past. At some point in my past I didn't exist (or wasn't aware of it) and at some point in the future I won't exist.

Just like all the ones that came before me, I know I was born and that I'll die. But the in-between time belongs to me.

    The future looks great!

Advancements in science continue to make life better for the majority of the human family.

Medicine and surgical procedures continue to improve.

Education continues to improve peoples lives and help humanity shed many of the false teachings passed down from generations past.

Extreme religious and political viewpoints will continue to soften with worldwide education programs.

It will take time....several more generations until we reach what I would consider a universally enlightened state.

We are still living in the infancy of humankind's collective awakening, but it is still an enjoyable time to be alive.

I wish I was born now so I could see what would take place over the next hundred years.

The important thing is to enjoy the present and contribute positively to the future. Spread true knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and be kind and supportive to those around you.

SBC- do you have to be a scientist to believe things firmly?

    What about a religious person?

Just how many facts does one need to know to be convinced of ANYTHING?

Uncountable TRILLIONS of cells forming elaborate SYSTEMS that work TOGETHER performing timed FUNCTIONS in concert screams design- if you want to attribute it to chance ...'Natural Selection' be my guest...but if you are as intelligent as I THINK you are, you know better- wether you admit it or not.

Oracle- but all the stocks you can, and learn Chinese, then.

Yes Oracle, we will be learning thousands of new things so rapidly. I also am "excited' about thorium, new energy sources, space travel, genetic code research, invention of a true diet and anti-wrinkle pill, ... and .... that Paris will start to do more charity work and Lindsay will clean up her act! But, the largest problem is in our heads, to foster true freedom of thought throughout the world.

Speaking of SCIENCE, are you aware that it refers to the brain as "the MOST COMPLEX MECHANISM in the UNIVERSE"?

That god of your's - Natural Selection- sure is a Smart fellow! He does a far better job at making things than us humans....but I suppose, you'd rather trade your eyes for the latest camera ...if it could be hardwired to your brain...

Or substitute some OTHER substance for your bones, and would rather trade your natural heart for the latest in mechanical ones made by wonderful science!

    Hey MadJW,

I AM loading up on stocks, but Chinese is too tough for me to learn... despite the fact that the jolly old "fellow" you refer to...good ole Mr. (or should we say Mrs.?) Natural Selection "made" our brains sooooo smart.

As for your eye question. Answer: Hell ya!

In fact our human eye is not that good compared to many other eyes in the animal kingdom, not to mention most cameras. If we were made in god's image - does that mean god's eyes aren't very good? Our focus and the distance we can see is quite limited. Good thing "Mr. Natural Selection" made our brains smart enough that we could cope with the handicap of poor eyesight. lol

sorry, but I'm in a frisky mood again.

    cheers,
