Mrs. Jones and Dinah are cracking me up and scaring me a little too!
Why are we repulsed at the though to consuming human milk?

> "Mama, I wish I was still a baby and could have mo-my's" ( I don"t know why she called it that.....some word she made up....)
Maybe she heard someone say "mammaries". In all of my extended family it's called "noo-noo".
To the baby: Awwww... What some noo-noo?

speaking of nursing...
Were sisters allowed to nurse in the main auditorium in your halls?
I remember quite the ruckus over one sister who breastfed her toddler in the main hall. She just flopped that tit right out and Junior climbed right on...in front of Jehovah and everybody.
Some people were offended...she claimed it was natual and nothing to hide or be ashamed of.

Oh no no! Human milk is for human babies. It contains the nutrients and the mother's anti bodies for many diseases for the first 6 months.
Again, it is meant for babies not adults. (Gag at the idea adults would be consumers of this very personal product)

Mr. Dinah didn't really consume it......he just played in it alot. Hell, we are easily amused.

Purple sofa, I have seen that movie so many times and do not remember that about a woman feeding a starving man her milk. Did she nurse him or did she put it in a glass first?
I will definately watch for that next time I watch it!..lol
Snoozy..who doesn't like the idea of drinking/eating anything that comes out of another human being..

Snoozy,
It was how the book ended, I've never seen the movie.
Sorry for the confusion.
As you can see, the movie could not end the way the book did!!!
and there was much controversy over it.

The weaning process in some cultures (Japanese for one) involves the parents chewing solid food into a paste and then putting it into the little wean-ees mouth. Hey, it's probably healthier than Gerbers cornstarch veggies.
