Why are we repulsed at the though to consuming human milk?

It's so gratifying! I truly feel it's unfair men can't experience that feeling of warmth and closeness.

I do envy that a little bit. You ladies get to bring a life into the world, and to share yourself with it in a way us males never will.

Oh well, at least we get to take care of both of ya. Someone's got to protect the sacred things, and there just isn't anything much more perfect in the world than the bond of a mother with her infant.

I have to say though, some of you heathens on this thread are such prudes.

The weaning process in some cultures (Japanese for one) involves the parents chewing solid food into a paste and then putting it into the little wean-ees mouth. Hey, it's probably healthier than Gerbers cornstarch veggies.

Way back, like when we were living in caves, prechewed food was often passed mouth to mouth from mother to child. That's where kissing in the mouth as a form of affection between lovers comes from.

We revert to our childhoods when it comes to sexual relationships. That's where all the patterns start. Lovers even call each other "baby".

There is SO much that could be said on the subject. Most men check out the ta-ta's before looking at anything else. Wonder why?

Cheese from "mother's" milk. Hmmm, don't know. Suppose our ability to reason truly puts us at the head of the class. Yet , we will consume milk from other mammals without giving it any thought. Is "mother's" milk any different? If you set out three glasses of milk would you know the difference? What an interesting topic.

I haven't read the other replies to this Elsie, but I don't have a problem with breast milk and I don't mind stealing some when I have the opportunity and I am sure that I could make very nice cheese from it should I get the chance.

    Cheers

the midwife for my 2nd kid had done an internship
in a rural mexican birthing center and told our
homebirth group that often a mother nursed
the youngest in the family til they were big enough
to drag a chair over for mama and make a cuppa tea
for her.... food mom ate made milk for the kid... it was
    all about economics

nursing a 6 YO here would get you investigated by family services

eta: i did the "chew it first" introduction of solids for my kids too....
i dont think we bought "special food" for any one them

    Word.

Said bond is recognized and affirmed in every culture.

    Word ... up.

Coitus is man's symbolic return to the womb from whence he came.

This topic brought up a memory of what my firstborn infant used to do when he latched off: He'd give me a big milk smile and vocalize "Aaaah!" which meant to me "Boy, that some good titty juice Mom!"

    Aw memories!

    Funny, Mrs. Jones!

My son would fuss at anyone who interrupted him. If anyone got too close or talked to me while he was attached, he'd raised his head up and give them down the road.

Then when he was around 2 or 3 years old, Mr. Dinah and I were watching a movie that had an unexpected topless woman in it. Mr. Dinah turned it off and the boy had a fit. So we just let him watch it. Titties never hurt anyone.
