Why is god hiding?

We can not see god because he's everywhere. The universe IS god, the creator. It isn't a "He" or a "She" but rather it is just the natural arrangement of all things. It isn't a separate conscious entity but rather exists within all things because it IS all things. We can live in harmony with it or we can oppose it.

While that is not exactly my feelings, it is close enough. I generally believe that God simply isn't there. But I have been living in a monotheistic world and denying that God. I do believe that the yin and yang of the universe, the energy and matter, the push and pull .... has brought about what we have today. I am on a "spiritual" journey of sorts to find peace- peace is a balance of the yin and yang, that harmony spoken of.

If we would just get rid of the personage of God, we wouldn't need to worry if one person says God is everywhere and another says God is nowhere, because they would be saying versions of the same story from different perspectives- no big deal.

I leave this thought for Christians that want to save me because God/Jesus/Holy Spirit has directed them: If God wants me, He knows where to find me. If you were "contacted" then He can contact me in the same way. Until He does, I will be okay.

I have a notice pinned to my front door. It says:

Notice to God - Do not disturb.

i've had this same discussion with my dub relatives. if god is really there, why not just say so in a manner that is definitely provable? people would still have the choice of whether or not they would follow him/her. many believe that proof of god's existence is the opposite of having faith, but i do not believe that it is. faith can help me accept something credible that i don't happen to understand. e.g. gravity. i dont quite understand how gravity works, but i can clearly see it's effects, so i can have faith that if i jump off a cliff, i'm gonna go splat.

otho, to say that creation is proof of god's existence, to me, is circular. it is proof that we are here - nothing more. there is no evidence that jehoover created us (or any other god for that matter). the explanation given by a bunch of primitive men who wrote that "jehoober made us and wants us to do all these confusing things that can be taken out of context for non-jehoober sanctioned purposes" and then later were venerated by others: oh it's in this "book" - "see right here it says jehoober created us, therefore he did" isn't proving anything. it's simply their opinion that they wrote down. "oh i was inspired by god to write this" ... really? that's quite a claim to make ... can you offer any credible evidence to support that claim? (because you see many nutjobs make the same claim, so how do we know you're not a nutjob?) "uhh, well if you need evidence, then you suck because a real man of faith doesnt need evidence."

    how convenient ...

"oh and by the way, god needs money ... lots of money ... and he doesnt want you to wear beards ... and you have to do all these things ... and if you dont do all these things that these holy dudes in a factory in brooklyn come up with at the drop of a hat, then you get destroyed with all the 'worldly' people at armageddon which is right around the corner, really it is, no this time it is, stop that 1975 business that was your fault not ours, 1986? we didn't say that you did, no it's really close now .. so get off facebook and stop sexting (unless you want to sext to any of us elders - that's okay) and do more stuff for the Holy Factory Dudes or you'll die!"

to put someone's life in the balance for this spooky non-provable circular and definitely exclusive club of "oh we have god's blessing and you dont" way of "revealing god" ... sounds more like a way of controlling people than anything else.

What Cheerios said... "there is no evidence that jehoover created us (or any other god for that matter). the explanation given by a bunch of primitive men who wrote that "jehoober made us and wants us to do all these confusing things that can be taken out of context for non-jehoober sanctioned purposes" and then later were venerated by others: oh it's in this "book" - "see right here it says jehoober created us, therefore he did" isn't proving anything. it's simply their opinion that they wrote down...."

What I find absolutely hilarious is that smug assumption that when people are talking about "god", they're talking about the CHRISTIAN god... Which isn't even really a 'god', at all... Waaay too young to be the original deity of the universe; with followers who CLEARLY are in the dark about how the earth really functions - see my favorite enlightening scripture, Exodus 19: 16 - 19 and compare it with written descriptions of OTHER volcanic eruptions... And 'moses' took them to the foot of this erupting volcano!!! Flaming IGnorance!!!

But, it's their 'gawd' who built the universe, even tho 'his' books - and religions - are just about the YOUNGEST on the face of the planet...

Un - be - FRIGGIN'!! - lievable!!!! Zid
