The Mad Idiot whined: Now don't go rushing to Watchtower articles, to find some absurd opinion- try sticking to these facts shown by the Bible, please!
What do you think I just did you buffoon?? I just showed you scriptures from the bible that clearly shows that the earth is not going to "last forever" and that the bible clearly shows that heaven is the destination for both the pre and post-Christian era. Is English your second language? Which scripture was too difficult for you to comprehend???
But of course, in typical brain-dead, Dub fashion, you completely ignore proof and evidence when it doesn't square with your already pre-conceived ideas and instead, tell me that I'm "ignorant" and "holier-than-thou", in order to re-direct attention away from both the scriptures AND what your own literature says.
Then again, this is the Mad-Asshole we're talking about, so what else do we really expect except his frothing-at-the-mouth insane rants that he's been posting about for years.
I am in good standing, all the elders know is that I'm talking Bible on online Discussion Boards (which they try to discourage me from).
I do not Report to them, nor ask permission to do anything.
Does that answer your irrelavant question, JWoods?
BTW- I am NOT the "pot"; I have MANY faults, thus do NOT consider myself superior to ANY of you- even those of you who deceive!
Mary, Mary, quite Contrary- would you like to look at the CONTEXT of those 4 scriptures? And to see the scriptures showing it WILL last forever- and "passing away" was a reference to something ELSE?
You sound Baptist to me- and if so, will NOT...
Does that answer your irrelavant question, JWoods?
No. I asked if they knew you had made your own board to spout non-JW thoughts.

I have looked at them. There's absolutely nothing there that indicates it's referring to mankind living forever in a paradise on earth. If you can point me to any scripture that states this, I would be more than happy to "adjust my thinking". BTW, the scripture in Revelation talking about the "Great Crowd" states that they are "before the throne of God"---they are NOT on the earth.

I'm not any religion. Not even sure I believe in God anymore. I'm simply showing you what the bible says. Whether it will ever happen or not is another story.
I've got to go to work now, but I'll check back in here later to see what mind-boggling tripe you've posted.
Does that answer your irrelavant question, JWoods?
JWoods:"No. I asked if they knew you had made your own board to spout non-JW thoughts."
No- to compare beliefs, to expose fallacies ( INCLUDING our own), to stimulate faith & thinking. As with a computer, you have to get rid of all the junk to get it running smooth!
Mary- thanks for calming down! I'll need a few hours to start compiling scriptures, and to examine the context to the ones you posted! GLAD you're not a Baaaaaaptist! heh
PS, Mary- if you look at the "Great Crowd" (Rev 7)- they have SURVIVED the Great Tribilation, thus are still human- on Earth, as illustrated by the Palm Branches. Chapter 6 shows the wicked trying to HIDE from before Christ on the Throne, showing that heaven AND earth are "before the throne"...
MadJW: ...scriptures that appear to say...
This Dub-Like turn of phrase made me LoL. The scriptures say what they say and mean what they say. Just because YOU may think they only "appear to say" one thing while meaning quite another doesn't make it so, theMadJW.
the "Great Crowd" (Rev 7)- they have SURVIVED the Great Tribilation
The Bible doesn't say that. It isn't even implied.
Selective interpretation is a pain.
When an author used a world or makes a statement, it is crucial to see how it isused and applied the FIRST time he uses it in a book/letter/article.
That is what dictates the use and interpretation from then on.
In Revelation, John first uses the greek term "before" the throne when he applies it to the seven spirtis before the throne of God.
If those spirits are before the throne, then everytime John uses the same word in greek, enopion the throne, then it means JUST THAT.
And in Revelation 7:9 its ays just that, the great crowd before (enopion) the throne and Jesus.
