PSac, isn't the next step freeing yourself of these last reservations about your goodness or worthiness.

Perry- I'll stack a Food Bank and Environmental project against your fake Hell-fire god any day.

Well, I don't have any dilusions about my "goodness" and "worthiness", and the lack thereof.

There's a lot I have to answer for and no, that has nothing to do with fear ofj udgment or hellfire in the afterlife, it has to do with the one thing that, for me, was most self-evident when I became a Christian, and it was that I no longer hide from myself and from what I had done.

It was easy to say that the things I did were "no big deal", or that " I was an adult and free to do what I wanted", it was easily to justify my actions in the past, it was certainly easier to "be me" when I wasn't a Christian.

It was easier but it wasn't right.

I was loved far more than I loved and treated far better than I treated others and I need to make up for that, not because I fear God, but because I love what God and Jesus have done for me, they have given me the strenght and love to be better and to expect more of myself, for them and for me and for those I love.

Perry what kind of glue pot do you sniff everyday. You worry and fret over the most obvious thing. A simple study of existentalism may free you of some superstitions you harbor.

Do a little good each for your surrounding community, be a good steward of this beautiful earth so that your great great grandkids can enjoy life.

So designs, it seems like you are saying that death is not a problem for people, is that right?

If so, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Perry, do a little philosophical exercise, Muslims sects promote the same concept of Hell that your Fundamentalist sect promotes, is the Muslim Hell real, you can substitute for Hinduism if you like.

designs, you are welcome to believe whatever you want. Jesus warned extensively about Hell. Why do you feel compelled to mock what he taught? Similarly, the Watchtower has gone to great lenghts to mock, deride, and obscure bible teachings. Why? It is because they want his authority.

Again, if you want to exercise faith in a naturalistic philosophical world-view...more power to you. If you want to believe that the universe appeared out of nothing like Dawkins does ... more power to you. If you want to believe that death is not a problem... more power to you.

For me, it takes far more faith (even credulity) to believe in those kinds of things than it does God who judges sin, but that's just me. Why is it so important to you to mock Christians? By what authority do you condemn us?

I mean if it really is all fictional like you appear to have convinced yourself of, why get in such a huff?

I "fear" not being worthy of God's gift of Grace and I fear being less that I can be.

    PSacramento,

I know what you mean. But, I'm sure you already know that Grace isn't Grace if it is deserved.

Just let the Lord live his life through you and enjoy his victories.

    God Bless You.
