Wow. It boggles the mind that the letter doesn't go into details about the rumours they've heard, but they plead to know if what they've heard is true?? How is that even possible?

I'd be tempted to respond to that part by replying:

I'm sorry, I really have no idea what you're talking about unless you're prepared to be more specific regarding the malicious gossip and rumours you've heard about me. Some rumours and malicious gossip have made their way back to me, and while it's shocking to hear these lies that have been circulating, even more it is heartbreaking to see such an unloving attitude in action, from people who claim to be Jesus' true disciples. It has caused me to question many things about people in the congregation, and has made me wary of friendship with witnesses whose only intention is backstabbing and causing me anguish.

As well, for someone so concerned for your Everlasting Life™ and wanting you to be with them in the Paradise™, they don't offer to help you themselves, they urge you to go to the Elders™.

NEXT DOOR GIRL- Awesome effort on your part to reach the mind of this JW friend of yours. Wow. You never know- you may help her to think of things in a different way inside her mind. She may not let on to YOU that she's pondering on what you say out of JW pride- however I guarantee you she's thinking about what you are saying- even if she doesn't openly admit it to you. Good job. I find it funny how you won't simply answer my question. Do you want to be a follower of God or not? simple as that. "Beware of bad associations..." remember? Are you a bad association or not? I too am confident in my faith. That is why I am trying to abide by that scripture. So if you refuse to tell me the truth then there is nothing more to say. I hope you find what you are looking for. Just because I keep my space from you doesn't mean I don't love you it means I can's trust you. I need to know who's side you are on...period. And Jehovah's witnesses spend their time with those who want to be followers of God not those who don't.Whether baptized or not...it's the heart condition that matters. Ask any witness and you will get the same answer that I am giving you. You once thought this way yourself. If you honestly tell me to follow Jehovah God and his standards is the way you wish to live your life then that would make me exceedingly happy and want to spend time with you. But if not...you are desiring to be a part of the world. "I am no part of the world" and don't desire to be. God's people are the ones I wish to have as me close associates. I know what it is like to isolate one self. I used to do that. My thinking became warped as has yours. It was only when I began praying, attending the meeting and service and associating with God's flock that I began to think clearly once again. I hope the same for you. this will be my last letter unless you start being honest with me and yourself.

Do you realize that in each of your responses back that you still continue to imply that YOU NEED HELP????

You keep saying "but what have they done to help me" and "they are not helping me". It can be read that you do need help and are just not getting the spiritual help you need. Do you really need this kind of help from them? Between the lines it seems that you ARE asking for their help. If so, that's why she keeps recommending you go to the elders for that help.
