I totally agree with them !!
Anyone that trust the WT has a distorted view of things and CAN'T trust their own viewpoint, especially about the WT !!
LOL !
I can think for myself.
I can think for myself.
I can think for myself.
I can think for myself.
I can think for myself.
I can think for myself.
I can think for myself.
Write this 100 times.
As we can clearly see, the JW-Only Study Edition is jammed pack full of mind-controlling JW Cult Goodness!!!
I mean seriously, who at the door could read this and not either 1.) raise an eyebrow in disbelief or 2.) laugh their ass off ?????
If you were to ask a JW about this at the door, they'd claim it was "too spiritually deep" to talk about, that's why it's for JW's only. Really? Was Jesus soooooo deep he couldn't talk about things, even to children?
This has gotten way out of hand, this controlling shit is going the way of Jonestown. Trust us, our Kool-Aide is the BEST!!!!

Could just be my imagination but to me it seems they have this sort of article every year in fall going into Nov right before all the holidays. To me it seems yet another way to keep jw's from attending non jw family functions (holiday meals). 'Course it doesn't work in my house but for some die hards it just adds to the numerous reasons to keep away from evil worldly people.
Don't Trust your Own Viewpoint - it's Distorted
Then, if this is true, it also applies to the WTS viewpoint, especially since the GB/FDS admitted they are 'imperfect men'. Their own logic can be applied right back at them.
"I couldn't get past the footnote in para 5 quoted above. "One scholar" no name noted, could be anyone, said the original word- that they don't give "can also mean" here they go assigning different meanings to words and taking things out of context, if not outright lying. ..."
"This is why I maintain that the WT is intellectually dishonest. ..."
Oh, dear Serenity Now, maintain away, maintain away!!!
I agree with you, and go beyond that - it's a FACT that the Watchtower Sociey is intellecually dishonest!!! Examples have been cited frequently on this board, among other places...
Zid
Maybe the writers will one day just get right to the point and put this on every page of the kool aid WT:
YOU ARE A DUMBASS!
I mean seriously, who at the door could read this and not either 1.) raise an eyebrow in disbelief or 2.) laugh their ass off ?????
I would love to do an experiment with worldly people- by not telling them my views about the mags or the org, just hand them a kool-aid edition to read and give their opinion. I can see them doing reaction # 1, but add to that a "WTF?" I know that is the reaction I had when I read the Nov 19, 2009, "Treasure your place in the congregation" article. I had the "WTF" reaction and I wasn't "worldly" just inactive but still believing.
Our IMPERFECT nature can lead us down this path. This can easily happen when we see something that WE view as unfair or if we PERSONALLY suffer hardship. " Translation : If you sufferhardships it's only YOUR OWN fault - not the WT organization or Jehovah.
Hence any personal hardship that we suffer as a result of the WTS or BOE decisions is only our own fault. Isn't Jehovah suppose to be guiding the WTS? Or is He not responsible for the WTS and the BOE decisions and actions? I guess blame all the WTS and BOE problems on the publishers.
