That's exactly that way I felt when I saw this topic Lady, you're so spot on!

You are such a brave woman!! I have so much respect and love for you even though I don't know you personally. I've cried through your story, but then I see how strong you are now and it gives so many of us who have been dealt a bad hand in one way or another something to strive for. You really are doing something special here and I just personally want to thank you

I don't know if it is brave. I just know I did what I had to do to survive relatively intact. When you are going through it you aren't thinking how brave can I be. You just wait for the incident to pass whether it is the sexual abuse or a beating or just being yelled at or lectured to for the umpeeth time.

I learned to dissociate from pain and went into a fog when being yelled at. I remember one beating I got - I felt nothing- just totally numb through it. The mind is a powerful tool and it knows how to protect us when things are really beyond our ability to deal with.

I just know I would never beatmy kids the way I was beaten and they woiuld never be sexually abused in my home

This is exactly right - the whole thread was insulting.

This is also why I am not buying this troll "trying to make nice and tell his story" on the other thread - I remember this garbage (from the same day as the making nice!) and about a dozen other threads clearly posted just to irritate everyone on the board. Plus, IIRC, spamming for his website.

Not buying it. Might think about it (at about 10% potential belief) at most if both Lady Lee and Outlaw totally accept him - but still just maybe.

My, my, you're touchy, LL- but in view of those experiences, it's no wonder! The account is so Vivid it's like the reader is right there WITH you...but as I said, I'm getting the "gory details"- something I try to avoid; it is VERY difficult to keep your mind Powerful, Bold & Confident, so, while aware of such terrible things, I train myself to focus on the Positive.

The Positive to such horrors you've been thru?

That you SURVIVED it, and have become STRONG, and that your experiences combined with your training are used to HELP others who have had similar nightmare lives!

That was far more information than I, to quote YOU, "Demanded"- yet I thank you!

MadJW, what would you think about a Nazi supporter? They decide to ignore the "gory details" and focus on the positive. Gee, there sure WERE alot of positives for the German people. Hitler was an incredible leader. He single handedly brought Germany out of the depths of poverty and made it a world power to contend with! People basically WORSHIPED him because of this. However, the importance WAS IN THE GORY DETAILS!!! So someone that supported the Nazi's, IMO, was just as bad as the Nazi's themselves. Even IF they had positive things to look at, if they ignored the "gory details" they would be participators in the HORRID acts committed by the Nazi's.

It's great to look at the positives. But you CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT ignore the "gory details" when they are hurting people. This organization seems to protect the violator and tear down the victim. You can't ignore that!

The WT, in many ways, is like Hitler. I can't say that they do not do positive things. They support morals and values. They try and strengthen faith. They have comforting words in their articles for people that are feeling discouraged. There are MANY positives. But there are many "gory details" that you CANNOT ignore. They have double standards. They HAVE been a part of the world that they condemn (NGO in the UN). They break down familes in MANY cases. They protect child molestors and hush up victims if the untrained and unqualified elders cannot PROVE the case. They twist the scriptures in many cases. Their translators were not qualified to translate the NWT. And many many other reasons.

touchy No that's not the word. You asked for information. The way you asked was more of a demand "what's YOUR story?" as if I was hiding something.

From the beginning of this thread people have pointed you in the direction of MY story. You didn't bother to go look for it until it was spoon fed to you.

Let me ask you a few questions. How much did you read? All of the links in the Bio? Did you pick and choose? Just the first posts? the whole threads? (It's not like a lot of people respond to my threads so there isn't a ton of pages to read)
