What if God's existence was PROVEN TO BE TRUE?

Most people in the world already believe in some kind of God.... the problem is that in your hypothesis, God would have to get off the canvas as a separate sentient being and DO something to change things. That is not what God is. The truth is that the God above God, the Absolute, exists in everything. God is not a he. God is both positive and negative, male and female.

Atoms are not particles, they are waves of energy, all having God consciousness, and they all interconnected. It's like all matter is plugged into God in order to exist. Try plugging something in without either the positive or negative leg of the plug. What will happen? Nothing. Just as you need male and female to produce life, you need both to produce physical matter.

God is the canvas upon which everything is painted. If he ceases to exist, so does everything else. And the bottom line is, even a dumb dubbie knows this. So God is already proven to be true, it's that different people have different titles or names for God. And considering what I just described, if God wants to get something done, God has to do it THROUGH the Created.

This is a sensible approach to belief in God. Before anyone can say whether God exists or not, they have to explain what their concept of God is. Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Jews and even JWs, to name but a few of the hundreds of takes on God. They all have their own idea what God means and how they are expected to please him.

It could just be that our tiny planet, and even smaller species, is of very little consequence in the scheme of things. Though there may be no scheme at work, just the uncharted adventure of the universe at work.

Although I don't subscribe to the notion of a personal God, I can see the evidence of intelligence at work in the universe. The word 'God' has been abused and applied to so many personalised concepts that it has been corrupted. Perhaps we need a different word for a non personal intelligence that pervades the universe.

"What if God's existence was PROVEN TO BE TRUE?"

My point is - Which particular concept of God are we referring to here?

Listener; nice to have you here, welcome to the forum.

You're new so I hope you'll take some friendly advice. Get to know your fellow forum members before making assumptions about them and, when posting on someone else's topic, address the topic itself. Don't try to divert the discussion.

    This isn't a 'prove god exists' thread, it's a 'what if' thread . . .

    Again, welcome

Thanks for the welcome. Seems to me that you are not very serious about your 'what if', especially when someone else diverts the topic to pasta and you take more offence at me suggesting the answers are in the bible itself.

Your question was 'What if God's existence was PROVEN TO BE TRUE?' That's not a what if at all as God's existence is true.

I don't understand this troll allert. I've been lurking for a while and I thought posters were able to express their own viewpoints regardless of whether they were supportive or not of the Jw's.

    Hi Gladiator,

Good points, and I agree... except about the insignificant earth and the uncharted adventure thing. The latest research shows bacteria, when freeze-dried, forms into shapes that are 70 percent hollow, and it is exactly the same, mathematically, as cosmic dust. Also, things that are superheated like volcanic lava, and nuclear energy, are teeming with this bacteria. That means that the energy coming off the sun is ALIVE. (And I thought the Gnostics were nuts when they said that the sun was an inhabited world in a higher dimension.) The point I'm driving at is, it appears that not only the earth is a sentient being, Mother Gaia, a living organism, but so is the galaxy, and it is evolving. The earth, while being only one of MILLIONS of inhabited planets in the Milky Way, is not insignificant, and is not plodding along unguided. There are major issues of planetary evolution that are being decided here every second of every day and we are all a part of it, contributing to the Akashic Record or Book of Life. The final destination is a return to Oneness with the Creator. Every one of us is an indispensable piece of God, and just like that matter I described, if our souls ceased to exist, those pieces of God would also cease to exist, and the entire universe would collapse into itself!

I'd examine the proof and adjust my beliefs accordingly.

But like someone else said above, it ain't gonna be that warm and fuzzy fella from the OT. </sarcasm>

Do you really need to be told that is merely your opinion and not empirical fact?

Care to share where you read this 'research'?

He was warm and fuzzy?! I wouldn't like to meet cruel, harsh and judgemental in that case.
