What is so hard about that. Go play in your own corners. There are certainly enough of them here.

I get it that many exJWs don't want to be preached to and that it would feel like Shelby is preaching to you. But if you didn't read her threads then you wouldn't feel that way, now would you. The simple solution is to not open the door.

Shelby I don't read your threads because I do find them "preachy". I find the "peace be with you"-type comments a false way of saying negative things and then saying it wasn't meant that way (sort of like saying hurtful things and then saying it was just a joke) - just my perception but it might be something to think about.

But that doesn't give me the right to come into your threads and poke fun of you or put you down or generally rerail the topic. As long as you are not breaking the guidelines then you are welcome to post here.

Lady Lee, if you don't like what is going on, then ask Shelby to post only as Shelby, or leave the forum.

For years now, Shelby has used JWD as her personal voodoo playground. She is of course the unfortunate intersection of Narcissistic Personality Disorder and auditory hallucinations, and that is sad for her, but no excuse for her to be allowed to pointedly NOT get help and instead harm herself and others by having a willing audience who encourage her delusions of grandeur.

And now it's obvious that she IS influencing several others. This needs to be handled responsibly. Telling other people they can't reject or respond in kind to Shelby's prophecies of doom is certainly NOT the responsible adult way to deal with this.

This is a mental health issue and the forum administration should be dealing with it as such. And should have been for the last several years.

I also think Shelby is trying to feed the superstitious with her WT special annointment and her conjuring spirits. Maybe she is truly deluded, IDK. But I think WT has ingrained a lot of superstition in people and Shelby is playing to that fear.

Snowbird, you took the words right out of my mouth. Like you, I'm one of those folks that think people are perfectlly capable of reading something, taking from it what they feel is useful, discarding what is not, and making their own decisions whether or not to continue participating in a discussion.

But, some people (not unlike certain politicians) think THEY have to do the thinking FOR you. THEY have to decide what is normal and what isn't because THEY have all the answers and those answers must fit into their particular little box. If this was a bunch of children, it would be different. As far as I know, there are NO children on this board being lead down a primrose path against their will.
