I really thought you had some objectivity. I am now thinking that you really are just one who jumps on bandwagons, rather than really listening (okay, reading) what one posts and having an independent view. Am I missing something?

Again, peace to you... and I meant absolutely NO ridicule at all. I am simply asking you a question... as you have often asked me in the past.

You are correct, Shelby, that keeping it going only directs more attention to you. That's why I've stopped responding to your arguments.

However, I pointed out very clearly, in my post, the valid reasons why some may continue to respond to you. As long as you continue to post ideas that some view as delusional and/or harmful, there will be some who feel it necessary to respond and expose those ideas. They provide a check and a balance that I think can be very useful in society.

We all know what happens when there is no dissenting viewpoint allowed at the Kingdom Hall. We all know what happens when opposing political ideologies are silenced. We all know what happens socially when no one questions the status quo.

The underlying principle is that this a "discussion". This is not a forum for posters who wish to post unchallenged monologues. You can start a blog for that if that's what you wish.

There is a point where a discussion (and this is a discussion board) goes beyond being a discussion and into name-calling and put-downs. Ganging up on someone takes it out of the realm of discussion.

I completely agree Lady Lee. I think we should also include discussions where posters claim that God, their Lord, whoever, is using that poster to predict and prophesy unhappiess for other posters, to call them drunks, to make claims that their life will fall apart and to make those claims in the name of a God, to tell others that they are not "true" christians because they do not hear the same things from god, to call others liars.

I'm sorry, dear CD (again, peace to you!), but you appear to assume that I am the one who took issue with what others wish to post... even to me. If so, where in the WORLD did you get that idea? Oh, yes, that's right... from not reading, again.

Seriously, 'Cog... seriously... and I am speaking from a place of kindness, peace, love... truly: I understand that you take issue with some (if not all) of what I post. I just never took you for jumping onto other's bandwagons... simply because it's easier to do than to actually consider if what they're saying is true. In order to do that, you really would have to fully consider what both sides are saying/have said (no, that was not a question). Until then, can you really say that you really know what a person is about...what he/she is actually saying? How can that be? (that was a question...)

And please, I know you want to say that you read what I post, but your penultimate response indicates that you really do not. Which is what I've said to some others. Can you use the fact that my posts are lengthy to say, "Well, I read the first two lines so I know what the whole thing says"? Well, you can try, but it really won't fly. That's actually what gets most who put their faith in the Bible in trouble when they try to "defend" it - they, too, jump to all kinds of conclusions after having read less than 10% of the entire thing. Not very smart, IMHO.

And you're doing the same (yes, dear one, you are - just by the statement you've made which I've never said, ever). Which is why there really isn't a whole lot of success on the part of those trying to get others to join with them in challenging what I share... as you and some others try to do. These "others" really DO read what I post and so KNOW... that what you... and various others SAY I say/believe/post/state... is totally untrue and off the mark.

Just a heads-up, because it does seem as if you folks cannot put your finger on just why it is that most, even some you think WOULD, aren't joining you: you really don't know what you think you do about me. Really.

I have recently had a conversion, dear one. As Shelby states, God does no speak through us. Our Lord uses us to deliver timely messages, in this case, to Shelby for her recent behavior.
