Can anyone come up with a morally acceptable reason for waiting thousands of years to end wickedness?

You know what I picture when talking about people waiting for the end and then dying before it comes, a shoulder to shoulder crowd of people looking toward the sky and every now and then ones falls over dead and no one looks down, carries them away, or steps around them where they fall.

They just keep looking skyward for something that never comes.

The rank and file are certainly the batteries of this organization not the holy spirit.

That was a compelling analogy, Mama-tossed-me.

No one came come up with a reason - morally acceptable or otherwise - because, save the Father, it is no one's business.

    Sylvia,

Why would a loving father steadfastly refuse to provide an answer to his suffering children?

Does he not want to, or is he unable to?

If your child was lying on the sidewalk, bleeding to death, and you refused to call an ambulance....and the child says "Why mommy? Why won't you get help for me?"

And you say "None of your business!"

...what kind of mother would you be?

Not trying to be snarky, I just genuinely don't understand your answer?

Oh, He has provided an answer.

I thought the question was about timing.

Divine Command Theory: If God does it, then it is, by definition, Moral, Just, Loving, Kind, Acceptable.

Have you ever heard the expression, "Come, Lord Jesus!"

It is indeed true that many Christians in the U.S. are eagerly awaiting the return of their Lord. (They don't buy the invisible return in 1914 theory.)

It is evident to me that people asking this question in such a mocking tone peppered with profanities forget that they are carnal - fallen and corrupt just like the rest of us. If you stopped being so inward looking and self centred and looked outside yourselves you will get the answers. All the best.
