Time. What is time? Have you suffered for thousands of years? God has.

    How has god suffered?

If you don't believe in God, no answer to this question will satisfy you.

How can anyone possibly morally accept that a god such as the one the ancient Israelites created and embraced

would save mankind from all of his inherent problems. ?

Maybe it would be better for mankind to accept that the god Yahweh never existed just like all the other gods in human history.

Reading the bible and taking in the stories and events involving this god might reveal the god of the Israelites never existed

and he certainly wouldn't be considered a loving and just god by any stretch of the imagination.

I love how makers of a theodicy will spend so much time denigrating humans as "corrupt", "carnal", and "like moths" that could not possibly understand the purposes of a great God-being. That may be true, but if it is, why is this great God so worried about receiving our worship or soothing our suffering? If were are to God as insects are to us, God must be massively petty and insecure. I couldn't give a damn if every moth in the world was worshipping me, they're moths!

It's because you will die. If you do not serve God you become self serving. This will kill you.

Please give an example of an action that is not self-serving.
