It's not about cell net guys.. it's about understanding plain English. That's what the book says.

But, I agree with Terry... Jesus didn't pen the words himself. It is all a matter of Chinese Whispers. The accurate meaning of the original koine is lost in transLITeration in many places.

However, many of the statements of Paul and John are unequivocal. It was the Father of Jesus, God who raised him up.

We still await Stephens (Chalam's) comment on the abundance of Scriptures that make clear statement.

Did Jesus resurrect Himself... No he did not. At least that is what the Apostles have said. Good enough for me.

The Bishops knew they had a few gaps and contradictions to fill in their theory of the Divine so they came up with Hypostatic Union, it was sort of the theological version of String Theory.

Still the Bishops could never answer why someone would have themselves killed for people who were already 'Saved' or taken care of by God. The 'Paul' character of the NT does a job in presenting a fictionalized version Judaism to advance his theory of the Torah somehow condemning the people who lived by it.

Not sure which Synagogues these two NT characters were supposedly going to but it sure doesn't line up right.

But Jesus said that he would. That is good enough for me.

There is of course no contradiction that the Father, the Spirit or even Jesus raised Himself from the dead if you believe they are one.

    John 1:1 (New International Version)

    The Word Became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

    Galatians 4:6 (New International Version)

6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”

    Matthew 28:19 (New International Version)

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

If one does not believe these verses or have revelation of their truth then there is a problem with what the bible says regarding the resurrection of Jesus and indeed many other topics.

    Stephen

I think you will like Paul's words to the Corinthians :)

1 Corinthians 15:12-19 (Contemporary English Version)

God's People Will Be Raised to Life

12 If we preach that Christ was raised from death, how can some of you say that the dead will not be raised to life? 13 If they won't be raised to life, Christ himself wasn't raised to life. 14 And if Christ wasn't raised to life, our message is worthless, and so is your faith. 15 If the dead won't be raised to life, we have told lies about God by saying that he raised Christ to life, when he really did not.

16 So if the dead won't be raised to life, Christ wasn't raised to life. 17 Unless Christ was raised to life, your faith is useless, and you are still living in your sins. 18 And those people who died after putting their faith in him are completely lost. 19 If our hope in Christ is good only for this life, we are worse off than anyone else.

    With love,

    Stephen

Stephen.... when will you comment on the subject at hand? Did Jesus resurrect Himself?

No, he did not according to the overwhelming testimony of the Scriptures. God (His Father, and Our Father) raised him from the dead.

Would you like to comment on the Scriptures that state that emphatically?

    Agape to you.

Podo- As per usual Stephen does not interact in this way, but notice the scripture he uses 1Cor.15:12-19 saying 'God..raised Christ to life'.

That will fly under his radar. Answers come from the damnedest places...The Bible.

I also noticed that and thought it was funny. In many ways fundamentalists are more brainwashed than JW's. Are we still under the threat of the Judgement of Christ if we still don't "clearly" see his side, despite lack of evidence?
