I am not coming back to JWN, but I will answer this one question.

He'll be back when he matures some and sees how ridiculous he currently is.

Will I filter critical thoughts? No. Will I filter someone calling God "disgusting"? Yes.

I know that you are saying that "I" am being judgemental. But if you read those scriptures. You will see that it is not "ME" saying that Atheism is bad in Gods sight. Just the Bible. Nowhere does it say that you are ok and safe if you live a good life. If you reject God...well, he will reject you.

Just as 1Sam 15 says, "Because you have rejected the word of the Lord , He also has rejected you"

If you don't respect the Bible fine. But I'm not coming up with this on my own. If I belong to the "cult" of Christianity, then I'm ok with that.

    A very Watchtower-esque explanation......

    ...and application.

It's not enough to live a good life and be good to people.

That is a great example of how fucked up Christianity is. What a horrible world-view. You're saying it’s not enough to be a good and decent person, what’s really important is believing and telepathically telling the Invisible Sky Daddy and his son the Jewish Superman that we believe and love them. That kind of logic might have seemed reasonable 2000 years ago but don’t be surprised when someone questions the claims of your religion. Especially when this religion supposedly comes from the almighty creator of the Universe.

"It's not ME who wants to fly this airplane into a building..."

"It's not ME who wants all infidels dead..."

"It's not ME who wants to explode this bomb packed with nails in that crowded marketplace..."

Then who are you to criticize those who wish to be in the cult of Jehovah's Witnesses, Mr. JW critic blogger?

"Hello, Kettle? Mr. Pot here... "

Dan, if you are going to condemn people, you best understand what you are quoting. Let me explain. You write:

Along with false prophets (like Jehovah's Witnesses) the Bible fortells people that would be happy in their godlessness. 2Tim 3 says that men would be lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

That scripture specifically identifies people who have a form of godliness. Atheists do not fit that description. Don't pick and choose and interpret as necessary to point your finger of accusation as the JW's do. It does not become you. When you do this, you are no better, and in fact, worse, that the JWs because you see through their sham but insist on putting up one of you own.

Also, don't pretend that you aren't "back". You jump on the forum, post a giant accusational turn in the forum and run away. The god you so strongly defend would never support such a Jonah-like attitude.

Don't take this personally, but freaking open your eyes to your own actions, man.

If you will read them, they said exactly NOTHING about atheism. It talked about people with a form of godliness, which, by definition, an atheist cannot have.

    Fail. Try again.
