I love that they don't provide details, as usual. What were the criticisms? And why were they wrong? Come on, "Andre," spill your made-up dirt...

Andre' certainly is an interesting character:

w06 8/1 p25: When Andre was on all-night duty in the hospital, female colleagues repeatedly pinned notes - decorated with hearts - to his pillow, inviting him to have sexual relations with them.

g9/09 p13: "We are servants of Almighty God and have done nothing wrong," replied Andre. The commanding officer grabbed a samurai sword from the wall and held it aloft. "What if I kill you now? he snarled.

w94 6:1 p6: On one occasion when his team played a tournament in Italy, they were invited to an audience with the pope. There was nothing spiritually upbuilding about the visit, and the worldy wealth that surrounded the pope upset Andre. His doubts about the Church deepened.

w 11/06 p18: A young man named Andre had similar thoughts [in regards to masturbation]: "I felt like such a hypocrite," he says. "It was a struggle to get out of bed in the morning and face the day."

g95 9/22 p6: French gambler Andre agrees: "When you've got FF10,000 on a horse and there are 100 metres to go, someone could tell you your wife or your mother had died and you wouldn't give a fig."

w87 7/22 p24: Young Andre adds: "The way you act at home is how you really are. When you go outside and associate with other people, sometimes you put on a whole different attitude. But when you're at home in an envoronment you're used to, you act the way you really are."

w92 10/1 p6: Simon Kimbunga and his successor Andre "Jesus" Matswa were hailed as messiahs. They died, but their followers still expect them to return and usher in an African millennium.

g90 4/8 p15: A youth named Andre observes: "A lot of youths wait until they are 17 or 18 to get baptized, which is a little old." Why? "Because long before that they're old enought to make other decisions for themselves."

g77 12/8 p 30: When six-year-old Andre's mother went into labor at home in New York, he was the only one there to help. "Go into the bathroom and fill a basin with hot water," he was instructed, and shortly the little boy "was helping his mother wash and was monitoring the delivery, telling her of the infant's progress,"

Oh my!!! Pirata, you sir deserve an award for investigative journalism.

LOL, MSE I thought the SAME thing. I guess it's like saying "John" or "James" here in the states. My, that Andre, to walk a mile in his shoes...

Think of JWs that possibly succumb to "sins of the flesh" and fall away. While DF'd I would suspect some investigate forums like this one. But, as has been said before, since their faith wasn't based on reason, then reason cannot take that faith away from them. So they believe the WT has accurately predicted their despair and they go back... to their own vomit. bleccchhhh slurp slurp

    So says 1 SBC 3:19.

Classic right? LOL They could do Forest Gump part two based off Andre's life. He's conquered masturbating, almost got fooled by the crafty arguments of apostates, didn't get a fig about gambling him and his wife's retirement money on race horses, had samurai swords pulled out on him, had nurses on the night shift ready to give him the business, played soccor for Italy which resulted in meeting the pope, at six years of age he assisted his mother in delivering his little sibling..............wow, the only question I have is...........what will Andre do next?!?!?

HAve you seen the car commercial where there's a genius who was saving people's lives as a child, but now even as an adult has fear when it comes to buying a new car? I wonder if Andre' gets scared walking into car dealerships too?

By the way, I've never heard the term, "couldn't give a fig", is that a non-US equivalent of not giving a f#$#? Since the WT used it, does that mean I can say it too without being marked? Like, "Misery did you read the latest article on Andre witnessing to recently contacted tribes in the Amazon?" I can reply, "I don't give a fig about that!"

Andre closed his eyes to the fact that he had three registered sex offenders who the elders are allowing to hold and take care of children and went back to the "truth" because Jehovah will sometime in some future time will heal the mind of the rapped children and if one of the children commits suicide oh well I guess the kid did not have enough faith like Andre dose.

Well, we need to take an important notice here on this good and informative thread. The mere mention of apostate websites by the watchtower, certainly gives credence to the fact that, we are having a noticeable impact on the faith of JWs in particular, and the Watchtower in General. I think, this is a noteworthy mention. I am sure, there are hundreds perhaps thousands of Andres who will one day, come on this board and do some 'research' though its very doubtful, they will 'happily' return back to the Watchtower.

It's another case of the WT using anecdotal examples to fit their needs. When the alleged "Andre" was what they call "Apostate", they had an extremely dim view of his insights. Now that his insights fit their needs...they publish them in the Watchtower.
