Harold Camping looks like he needs to change his diaper and swallow a handfull of pills!- I am pretty sure his lame video won't persuade ANY Jew to leave their Temple.

Before you can discount Jewish beliefs and traditions, you need to study them yourself.

I just found out from a H.C. video- all the church congregations have been thrown into the same pot as the Jewish Temples- it happened in 1988! Wow, can't you feel the fear?

How ones perceptions change with time and experience (most of it bad):

    - there was a time when I would have thought "how could you?"

Now, nothing would surprise me anymore!

I am not surprised. I think it could be a natural progression from the rules of the Watchtower to the

next step of the rules, laws and judgementalism of Judaism.

There are none more judgmental on this board that our own resident Jewish gentleman.

Perhaps, those who have no opinion of what constitutes good character, honesty and personal integrity might think that way.

The failure of JWs to demand such, from it's leaders carries over into the attitude of many JWs who fade out the back door.- in my humble opinion.

Do you know the one real requirement I had to meet to convert to a Jew? (besides being circumcised) I had to proclaim that their is only one true G-d. That's it, for the rest of my life. Being Jewish is what you make of it. Want to wear a black hat and walk to Temple every Sabbath? You can find a group to be with. Want to be a Humanist Jew who wants to make the world a better, safer, kinder place? You can embrace that variety of Judaism, too. Want to be an activist who works for peace? You can find Jews who share the same goals. You see, for a Jew, this world is the best gift we have from G-d, our only personal chance for happiness and fulfillment= that is why Jews seem to demand so much from others- there is no second chance, unless you are happy with coming back as a buffalo in Montana.

When I was a JW I used to wonder how a JW could become Jewish. I felt that it would be "going backward," and how could they give up Jesus? Of course, that was when I thought I was following Jesus. Now I understand why a former "christian" might go that route.

Now here I am, an exJW who has given up god and jesus. Who cares anymore, if he's happy being Jewish, great.
