The wt opens the doors and says "leave and be well... No dfing, no shunning", i wonder how many leave....
It would spell the end of their evil cult and they know it!

You're also demonstrating to her that ex-JWs were probably thrown out for good reason, seeing as they don't exhibit very Christian behavior
The last thing I would want to be known for is behaving like a Christian, if behaving like a Christian is the same as behaving like a Jehovah's Witness. Yes, that is a gross generalisation, but there are just some behaviours, shunning in particular, that are anything but admirable.
EE, your OP was straight from the heart. You didn't think about it too much, you didn't go back and change anything, you didn't even proof read it, you just fired it off. It smells like pure, unaltered truth. I don't have any recommendations for you beyond completing the process of finding yourself and then being true to what you find. You will never be happy otherwise.
When I read what you are going through and what SBC, Danabug and others have experienced (their own parents turning them in) any doubts I might have about the evil done by the WTBTS fade away.
I feel like a troll bumping this thread, but someone PM'd me and asked why I still am an elder, still in the cult at all.... fair questions, of course. This previous post says it as well as any. Please, I'm not trolling for sympathy or comments, simply bumping in response to a PM...
Awwww---you're gonna get sympathy anyway EE! Your post really touched me. I believe I've said this before, but I can't even begin to understand your position and pain. I am so VERY VERY fortunate that Jehovah never "blessed" me and my daughter never got baptized. My life would be incredibly bleak. Hang in there. We are here for what it's worth.
