  Notice that the nations rising against each other, food shortages, earthquakes are simply a beginning. notice that they will be killed, stumbled, betray one another, fall away and then those who have endured will preach this good news. Yikes this means there is a lot of shite still to come, and amazingly after that there will still be "good news"

  Villabolo - I LOVE it! The cats say it all.

  I just think it is completely appalling that people actually revel and enjoy seeing disasters of this magnitude. It is so awful and so so sad for the survivors...and now the threat of contamination, cancers, etc from the radiation. How anyone in their right mind could gloat over such a horrid occurrence and be elated because they think there's death doom and destruction on the way....well, not in right mind. So so sad and awful.

  I sometimes will come across a witness I know and they will tell me how close we are to the end.I am pretty sure, The jw's at my old Kingdom hall are just elated with joy over all this death and destruction this just proves to themselves that they are right in their own mind.

  When the first gulf war broke out, I still attended meetings. It was amazing the people who had not been to a meeting in years, began coming back and professing their fail. But after some time, these same folks stopped attending again.

  These events today, will boost meeting attendance in the short term. When nothing comes to pass, the hard core JWs will revert back to the brain dead state of waiting. The weak will stop attending meetings again.

  Same story, different year.

  I think in a way the dubs are hoping this is it because they are sooo tired of being slaves to the WT. Think about it, either they will have slaved enough and will be resting in the new system (after the massive dead body cleanup that is), or they will have slacked off and been destroyed by Jesus. Which death in itself is a relief for those slaves anyway. So for them, it is a win-win situation. No wonder they hang on to news of every disaster that befalls the earth hoping this is the big one.   Think about the mental state of the every JW today. There,s not

  much to rave about in JW world. The same old BS until something

  like this occur, it gives them hope for A short period of time. It

  rejuvenate their faith, it strengthen their faith. They are pooping

  their pants because this is A small victory for their side, ( in their

  delusional mind).

  I never really thought about it from this angle before, but your're right. The JW life is such a boring, empty, unfulfilling life. It's like being dead, yet alive at the same time, and any relief is on an extended hiatus. I imagine some JWs have wanted Armageddon to come even if they die during it, just so the emotional tug of war is over. Its like if you die, either way you win. You win because you don't have to slave for a religious publishing company any more. Such an unfulfilling life. Makes you wonder whats the point of birth if you're being born into a family of devout JWs. Better off dead.

  To any doomsdayers, I will brighten up and tell them not to worry,,I think the people of Japan will have all this cleaned up within a year and will be going full speed ahead in construction. Though they will always be affected by this, they aren't just going to just sit and wait and cry their lives away and remain miserable.
