Atheists believe in nonsense too.

What if there is other life "out there" (may you all have peace!)... and we're the aliens... because this is not the "world" we initially haled from, but one created to "hide" us... until the one we originated in is prepared to receive us back? A true christian cannot rule out the truth that we are not alone, not by any stretch. The error is limiting life to the physical realm... and doing so simply because it is all we "know"... at this point. And it is all we know because (1) we don't possess the proper physical "tools/instruments" in order to see/perceive/discern any other world(s) right now; and (2) we continue to deny... and therefore fail to use... the proper spiritual "tools/instruments"... which absolutely DO exist.

Supposedly math and science are about possibilities - yet, man continually uses them to falsely "rule out" certain possibilities, simply because of HIS limited knowledge/understanding/capabilities. He can't see past himself. But... there is more past earthling man; much more.

That there is other life "out there" is not nonsense; it's just unprovable... by physical testing methods... right now. Just like everything else, however, that is subject to change. When? Ah, yes, not soon enough for some. True, it took centuries, millenia, eons to "prove" some of the things we now "know", but we just don't have the patience for things anymore. If it isn't discovered/proven in less than 20 years... within our personally set timelines... or in own lifetime... it just isn't true/doesn't exist.

Yet, we accept that the universe itself is billions of years in age.

Where do we get that the Most Holy One of Israel does ANYTHING... fast? Who are we to require Him to?

    Really, whose minds are closed?

Again, I bid you all peace!

    A slave of Christ,

SA, who knows that life beyond what is earthly... and human... isn't "nonsense."

Aguest, I can understand what you're saying. But I think we can agree that reality should be perceived with the 5 senses, anything out of that is not really reality. I don't discredit that there are many possibilities, but I won't accept it as a reality unless I can use my 5 senses.

But even that, your brain can screw with your 5 senses.

    I don't know, I just don't know. Arggggggggggggggggggh

if it's just us, it seems like an awful waste of space. (I'm paraphrasing someone who quoted someone else.)

Sounds like what Carl Sagan wrote in Contact.

I think limiting oneself to five senses, dear NomadSoul (peace to you!) is... well... very limiting. There is much more beyond that. Ask Helen Keller.

    Again, peace to you!

It is very limiting, because those are our limits. Our imagination can take us anywhere we want to, but going from imagination to reality is a difficult task.

Spending our time inside our own imagination though is limiting. There have been several people in history that have made reality of their imagination.

It seems to me that, not only are atheists willing to admit when they don't know something, they are also open to new ideas if the facts support it. Many atheists would even believe in a God if they're show reasonable, logical, proof.

    This is true.

I have also never met an atheist who was a bigot or racist or homophobe, either. For those things, you need God in your life

    Life on another planet possibly?

Contact with aliens from other planets?

    God, angels, demons, ghosts, spirits?

Well, I sure have. So your conclusion is untrue.
