No, Egg and I didn't go.
The last memorial we went to was in '06, 5 years ago.
I went to about 37 of them.
I'm trying to collect missed memorials.

No, although some brothers came to visit us on the "day of" and give us a personal invitation.
The elder asked, "Have you thought about coming?"
I said, "Yeah I thought about it..." which was true, I just didn't answer the obvious no.
It felt good to be able to give someone else the polite brush-off for a change.
I got a lot of yard work done yesterday. It felt so good as I saw them all diligently working the neighborhood with invites to the same old ritual.
No thanks. It's been 6 mos. now and each month gets better.
sorry i goofed on the formatting
Did not go - Don't intend to ever darken their doors again. This will be my 2nd memorial since DA'ing and am about to partake right now - sun just went down 2 minutes ago here. Decided I prefer to partake on the eve of the day of the full moon - regardless of what WTS does. Many blessings to all of you!
I had to attend due to family. No I did not have a drink before attending. What caught my attention was about all the talk about studying and getting baptized to all new ones visiting. Same talk as previous years.
I have never been a JW, but have studied their beliefs for 30 years. I am an elder in my church, so I connected with their elder (who had no good answers for my Bible questions). It was grievous and sad to watch the plate/cup go around with no one partaking. A few people were friendly and warm, but most did not come up to us (I was in jeans and my bro in Christ from church had earrings and a cross). I came with the Kingdom Interlinear and had good discussion with a few people after. I wished I could talk to the lady at the front (JW couple) who cried for part of the service (not sure why, but I think I could give some wisdom and comfort lacking in the place). Compared to my morning church experience, it was devoid of the presence and power of God (that is what happens when you reject the Deity of Christ and the personality of the Holy Spirit). The talk was rote with terrible proof texting out of context. Since it was a sham, I decided to let the emblems pass despite knowing I am born again. I went to pray and be a witness and am thankful for the grace of God that I am a biblical Christian, not a JW cultist.
:Memorial - How many on here went and how many didn't?
You must be joking. Who wants to attent the most somber "celebration" in the Universe?

That's a big 10-4..........I went.
I didn't go. Haven't gone since 1990, there's no reason for me to ever go again. Went to visit a friend instead.
