    Dan,

Hello and welcome. Also welcome to the 21st century.

Question: What brings you here, to a site that caters to disillusioned JWs?

The philippines is a beautiful country. I have visited many times and have always enjoyed the wonderful people there.

I think PP didn't think before he boldly and likely scared Dan away. I hate it when people do this to people who come here with honest intentions.

I had to warn him before the usual suspects find this tread and start giving him hell. He seemed like such a nice a guy. Dan if you're looking for a site with active JWs in good standing, you may want to try www.jwtalk.net.

Why not give Dan credit for figuring things out on his own and deciding what to do about it. He's a JW, not a child.

I know how people behave on this site whenever an active JW accidently comes here and it's not good. People would of start calling him names, cursing at him, and mocking him and I didn't want him to go through that since he seems to be a geniunely nice guy. I apologize for having a conscience and being honest.

    Phil:

You give yourself too much credit, and not enough to the other members of this board. If others will behave badly, any preemptive action on your part will not lesson the blow or stop it from happening. That being said, I'm sure you meant well.

Thank you Philadelhia Phonos. No, I did not really know that. However, I respect your decision and your right in making a decision in leaving Jehovah's Witnesses. I still respect Jehovah's Witnesses for their desire to do the right thing, in the idea of a universal brotherhood, and the idea of living in a paradise. My wife is still a very active believer, but I understand the arguments why many once Witnesses have left. I don't condemn you or the others as being apostates. That is a very strong word which I don't use either. My parents were once Witnesses but left during the late 1980's I have read a lot, and still read a lot of literature, historical and religious. I have even read books about paranormal research. I used to be a high school teacher, with majors in history and library studies. I have a book up for sale which is available at most eBook retailers, including Barnes and Noble, the iBookstore and Smashwords. It is called Paradise World, and yes its setting is Christ's Millennium, but it is not from a dotrinal perspective. In fact, far from it, particularly through the middle to end sections. In case anybody is interested the site is at www.smashwords.com/books/view/38930 where there is a large sample of the book. I also have my own website at www.paradiseworld-thenovel.com

This is not book written just for Jehovah's Witnesses, but for the general public also.

    Best wishes,

    DanCover of Book Paradise World
