Considering the upcoming ABC interview Sunday night on 7/10/11 with Jaycee Dugard- I felt it timely to bump up this thread which showed initial comments regarding the article which appeared after the Garridos were caught and Jaycee was freed. You may find this interesting and disturbing as well. Thanks to Barbara Anderson for putting out the link on her thread about the upcoming Sunday interview. Access to information about how dangerous child abuse in our society is should alert people to protect children first and foremost. All comments welcome here

Wanted to bump this up considering the interview last night with Jaycee Dugard. These responses regarding this article on this thread link were right after Garrido and his wife were arrested and the news came out in 2009. Interesting interactions between JW apologists and non-JW's about the whole Jaycee Dugard kidnapping and child abuse. You might find this interesting. All comments welcome

On tonight's television special I first heard that the wife was a JW. Was he also a JW? I thought the two of them met in jail? Were JW's studying with them while they were in prison?

OLDIE- According to some news reports and links Phillip Garrido studied / or became a Jehovah's Witness while in prison. It's what he used to get out of prison early for alleged " good behavior " . He met his wife Nancy Garrido while he was still in prison, she was already a JW.

I wonder if,when he was released on parole right out of prison, if they went straight to Antioch Congregation there in California for any period of time or a short time? I shudder to think of Garrido attending there, though long ago. Wonder if they went there for a while? IF he did and then tried anything there, back in those times, things would have been sushed up.
