@Sapphy...One year we were so low on MS that we had an elder's wife doing the accounts. She did a better job than ANY man ever did! The reports were spot on accurate, compiled on timed and she was pleasure to work with.
The CO came and told us not to use her anymore but work on our "training program" for brothers. The accounts were never right again.

SAPPHY- Exactly the point I was making. WT society would serve themselves much better by letting women be elders and MS's. Women many times are much more dependable than men in handling responsibility.
DACHEECH- WT WIZARD is indeed a great poster. Very unique thoughts.
MRDARKKNIGHT- Good point. The experience you shared shows that women are many times more capable than men- but in the JW organization they don't get the credit for it. Really sad

Hi flipper. It's been awhile. I have been very busy working on my business. All I can say is you need to know more to open up a donut business and run it than to be a elder or MS. They deal with people lifes all I do is make donuts. LOL This problem started back in the 90's and is getting worse for the WT cult. The smart ones know better than to reach out. Totally ADD

A couple of things come to mind.
One think of all the money people would save who have went through years and years of schooling to become counselors and psychiatrists, well only men would because of course women are too stupid to be elders or have any oversight in the hall but just think of all the male psychiatrists there are in the world all they needed to do was to wash windows, be a JW and then become an elder and they are then qualified to handle all the complex problems anyone could drop on them. They truly could have saved tons and tons of money if they only knew. The JW's forget that Paul spoke of women also being in oversight at Romans chapter 16 but of course it is really not in the NWT anyway, so anywho.
Second there not being any secrecy when it comes to the elders what about the secret elders book.
There are more thought running through my mind but I have to run now. This religion is so screwed up.

If we were discussing a decent job, chances for promotion, generous health benefits and a decent retirement package, I'd agree with you in a nanosecond....
But we're talking about taking the lead in a vicious, nasty cult.
I don't like the precedent that the Watchtower Corporation sets for its female followers, but I do like the fact that women are de facto removed from the greater level of involvement - and blood guilt [maybe??] that the males are pushed to attain...

TOTALLY ADD- Good to hear from you ! I know how hard it is to run a business as I'm self employed as well. Hang in there, perhaps things will calm down a bit for you with work. Good point about being an elder. I hope less and less JW men reach out to be an elder, then they won't have anyone to run their congregations !
LIFE IS TOO SHORT- Good points you make. I feel that JW rank & file members would have been better served by going to see psychiatrists and college trained counselors in dealing with their problems than untrained elders who wash windows or clean toilets also. It's really brought a lot of misery to JW's lives by receiving idiot counsel from men in authority who have no formal schooling in counseling. Women would do a much better job anyway as elders , I agree.
ZIDDINA- Good point you make that at least JW women aren't as bloodguilty by serving as elders in the congregations. However they ae as bloodguilty in recruiting new JW converts by knocking on doors as regular or auxiliary pioneers. So it kind of offsets itself . Actually it's mainly the WT society who is bloodguilty by pulling this huge scam over ALL of the rank & file JW's and others for putting out false hopes ! So weird

When a sister complained about the news of a "secret" elders book, the CO said: "What's secret about it? It's available on the internet."
Yep, that's from the CO. I assumed that means it was OK for her (or anyone) to run to GOOGLE.

DESIROUS OF CHANGE- Wow. Very interesting that a C.O. would tell this " sister " that the elders manual is available online to download. I wonder if he is an " undercover " C.O. working to disembowel the WT society ? Makes me think there may be some of those around ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
