I saw The Blob (1958 version) at my friend's house who lived next door. I think I was about 10 or 11. I wasn't allowed to watch horror movies, but my parents were'nt there...so I watched...and was sooooo terrified...lol. When it was over, it was dark outside, and I ran home soooo fast!

As a nerdy 13-yr-old Dub The Shining freaked me out and had me saying "jehobah" under the covers after. More recently thought The Descent was well done but didn't induce any 'jehobahs'.
The Scariest though? The Notebook. Wife loves that one and it is horrific.
The haunting scares the life out of me every time.

It was the old Chevy truck in Jeepers Creepers that scared the bejezus out of me. Used to work 2nd shift and would be coming home on the I system at 11PM w/a lot of semis on the road. I'd see their headlights in my rearview mirror and get this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach.
The Shining was excellent too.

How about any of the Vids The WTS released......... If I went to someones house and we started watching one of them .....
Those Amityville's were scary. Anything like that scares me. I hate watching them. (yet somehow I still do) Ghosts, paranormal stuff, those jerky movement scenes where things walk on the walls and ceilings...
Nightmare on Elm street's were scary, because you had no choice but to go to sleep.
Pennywise the clown is a terrifying thing, though I never noticed just how scary until I watched it with my son again, looking at it from his pov. He still sleeps with the light on.
I love the Alien movies. All of them. I saw Aliens when I was eleven, with my dad whom I had just met. I slept with my grandmother all summer ;)
Shelby, I love the Thing. (of course I do... I love Kurt Russel!) I also loved the movie itself, though, and I cannot wait to see the new one.
