I have visited a few KHs over in the past few years and I noticed a black hole must be swallowing up older JW youths.

The bookstudy I sat in on in a Detroit suburb 4 years ago had one guy in his early 20's by himself and another young married couple. The rest of the kids were there because parents made them go. Plenty of late middle age and senior citizens. the 18-30 year old age group was totally missing. I wanted to shake that young man by the scruff of his neck and tell him to get out of this nuthouse and don't ever come back to the KH.

This damn cult will NEVER cease to exist. Yes, the internet is a thorn in their side. And yes if they actually begin experiencing negative growth (who knows....they may be already but are cooking the theocratic books to cover it up) they will some day have to address it. Hell even if the entire GB was removed and jailed for molesting children.......they would be replaced by others who would say that the allegations are false and their imprisonment is nothing more than a trial by Satan (7 million followers would then pray for these jailed men). Or perhaps the replacements would disfellowship the exiting GB members and tell the 7 million followers "Jehovah has cleansed his temple.....and placed WE are now the GB" (7 million followers would then pray and thank God for cleansing his temple).

The point being.....it does not matter how much about them is exposed or what scandals they are caught up in. Even if they decrease from 7 million to 100,000 in the coming 50 years.....they will STILL exist. There will always be hardliners that simply cannot accept anything other than the lie they've come to believe.

Glad so many young ones have the intelligence that their parents and elders don't. I was brought up a JW in the mid 70s mum was dfed in 1981 and dad left by the backdoor when they split I was 13ish. I went back in the mid 90s during a low period but had the good sense to leave again. Hopefully what I have learned since on sites like this and reading in COC i can pass on when people come knocking. For me the only thing worse than living in this system is living in the stepford wive paradise the witnesses promise . Im sorry but a life without BJs and only missionary position just won't cut it for me. I like imperfection because it makes life and other people interesting . The jWs have been promising paradise for over a century now and while many people are scared of dying your average JW is scared of living . I for one know whats the worst one of the two .

If 67% of kids leave, and the rest are aging and dying, it MUST be dying as a whole.......mustn't it? Not in my lifetime though I guess.
