Here is one of my really favorite songs, " Night Riders lament" Jerry Jeff Walker did this song but it has been covered by a lot of folks, including Garth Brooks. Suzy Bogguss and Jerry Jeff sing it in this video.

BTW, on my link above skip to 4:15 if you just want to hear the song and not the chatter. Night riders lament is a great song . Wish I could find Guy Clarks " Broken-hearted People" on you tube but I have tried more than once and can't get anything but karaoke versions of it.
