I didn't see people are still posting to this thread. My apologies.

For me personally I don't think there is one genre. It really depends on a mood I'm in, but one style that stuck with me over years ever since I was first introduced to it would be Classical Crossover. Its both funky and deep, love it.

I really like this. Julian, my grandson likes cello covers like this, too.

LRG, I am going to listen now.

Oh yes, I love this one, LRG. I remember it from my childhood. I also love the way it was weaved into the movie Mr. Holland's Opus.

It so does sound like a 60's dad song. Our parents had such good music that played right along with rock and roll on AM Stations.

This song used to play in dad's 63 Nash Ramber. His looked just like this one, but the blue strip was a bit more grayed blue. He would take my little brother and me to nursery school and pick us up in late 1964 and for most of 1965. He loved to play the radio and sing along. We sang along, too. Songs like We'll Sing in the Sunshine and Everybody Loves Somebody and The Plastic Jesus song oh and the one that went Everytime I go to town, the boys keep kicking my dog around. :

I'll never forget how much daddy argued with my older brothers over the Beatles. And he really got upset when they pointed out that Brazil 66's version of The Fool On The Hill was written my Lennon and McCartney.

So when he figured out that my brothers loved Classical Gas by Mason Williams, he was thrilled. He went out and bought them the LP. I have this song hundreds of times. I never tire of it and it is just as powerful the everytime I hear it. It makes my soul soar.

We watched The Smothers Brothers as a family and got to see this together:

George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Rosanne Cash and others.

All led by Rock-a-billy legend Carl Perkins.

School is in session, and it's a fun session!

I enjoy Leonard Cohen's music a lot. His music is a cut above all the rest. Here is just one of the many songs of his .
