I'd heard of Norah Jones but she looks so different in that clip. I had never heard of the group's name. I am on the way to amazon.com to buy some of her music. Move over everyone else, top that voice and music.

I sometimes get into a song so bad that I play it over and over until I'm sick of it. I wonder if it's a sign of some under lying mental disorder. Joking, but who knows? lol

I think 'apt' is the correct term. Especially the chorus.

You know, I really, really have loved this song ever since it hit the airwaves in Atlanta. This morning there a documentary on TV about soul groups, that was made by a husband and wife. The Chilites were included and they played this. I got to see them perform Have You Seen Her? live while they were on the 70's Soul Jam Tour, the Valentines Day Soul Jam show here in Grand Rapids. They played with Carl Carlton, The Dramatics and the Stylistics....a treasured memory for Andy and me.

Ballistic, I think any passionate music lover with play a good song over and over. Just means you're cool.
NIN. I remember liking Closer even though I was not supposed to. It helped in my re-corruption

Here is a song from the 1960's that moves me for a couple of reasons. The first is that it reminds me of the time it hit KMRC 1430 AM in Morgan City, LA when it was brand new. It was the music our parents listened to. And luckily this little station played everything from the British Invasion to Motown, Soul, Cross over country and Brazil 66 and Herb Albert and Tijuana Brass.
The second reason I love this song is this: when Hal, my second husband, a JW, got married: we lived out in Andrews, TX in the richest oil county in the mainland 48 states. It's in the Permian Basin in the lower panhandle of Texas. The Wichita Lineman is about Wichita Co. Texas and a line man for the county utility company. Hal used to be a maintenance electrician who made sure the oil wells and pump jacks kept operating. He drove all over the county and other neighoring counties. We used to go and help him pull wire and watch him replace fuses on the electrical powerlines that fed grids with many pump jacks/wells. This song reminds me of the good parts of our life out on the West Texas High Desert Plains.
This song is atmospheric. This song is beautiful. It sure gives the feelings of the wide open expanses of West Texas, where the sky is BIG and meets the ground.
