    infrared light

    ultra violet light

    magnetic fields

    microwaves

    all radio waves

    sonar

    sound waves

    etc.

we can't see these with our human eyes. yet we all accept them. because science told us it was true. but science only told us this within the last 200 years. these things ALWAYS existed. we just couldn't see it until science told us it was there.

now scientists are finding life forms that exist only in the infrared spectrum. we didn't know they were there until camera's started taking pictures of them. so soon science will tell us there are creatures in other wavelengths or whatever they explain it.

the point is, just because YOU can't see it, doesn't mean it's not still out there. and until YOU can prove it doesn't exist, YOU look foolish for saying it doesn't.

and since nobody can prove it either way, we should all shut up.

ancient civilizations seemed to have the same reoccuring problem with the spirit realm that we do today in modern society.

how about the story in canada about the guy who beheaded another guy on a bus ride a few years ago.

he claimed he was harrassed by spirits that made him do this.

the court decided he was reasonably insane at the time due to the evil spirits controlling him.

this happend in our modern world.

What life forms would these be?

and since nobody can prove it either way, we should all shut up.

Feel free to do so, otherwise let's all keep commenting.

Uhm, are you familiar with the centuries of witch trials? Guess how many defendants were guilty of witchcraft. Since when does the silliness of human courts prove or disprove supernatural occurances.

The level of ignorance concerning science on display here is staggering.

Yet we can see their effects on the world around us, measure them, theorize, prove/disprove and share the results for all to see. A pyramid of thought and knowledge whose foundation was laid long more than 2000 years ago (ancient greeks). We saw things happen but just made up god inspired myths to explain it. There are no magic stones from the gods although some have a strong alignment of magnetite. Apollo retired from racing across the sky each day and now works on restoring vintage chariots in his villa. Thor was shut down by Hydro for not having the proper permits to hurl ightning.

The unknown in the world around us has always existed and we have science to explain how and why things happen, not campfire myths and the ramblings of half mad prophets.

    Please provide evidence of this

I've never seen Santa Claus and say he doesn't exist but can't prove it and am to be considered foolish for this?

Burden of proof for extraordinary claims lies with the claimant. Pretty simple concept really.

and since nobody can prove it either way, we should all shut up.

    Now yer talking

ancient civilizations seemed to have the same reoccuring problem with the spirit realm that we do today in modern society.

I might ask that you clarify which civilization and which spirit realm you are speaking of, as from my limited knowledge, they are not all the same.

If you mean as regards doubting the existence of a spirit realm, I'd agree. If so, why do you suppose that is?

Please provide proof of your claim that a court of law convicted someone for being possessed by spirits.

That hasn't always been the case, though, has it, dear Twitch (peace to you!)? I mean, have we reached the "end" of all that is to be known... about what we can experience with the empirical senses... as well as what we can't? Have we even reached the "end" of what senses we actually possess? Sure, we have 5 physical senses? Are you TRULY certain that that is all... and that if there are others they are physical, as well?

Have we really... TRULY... reached the "end" of all that is to be known as to such matters? Just askin'... 'cause if so, that truly saddens me. Means in only a couple/few more decades we've got nowhere else to "go," nothing else to learn. Tends to jibe more with what many "doomsday" proponents believe, though... that the "end" is near. Perhaps it is, after all...

    I've never seen Santa Claus...

How's that? "He's" in virtually every mall and on every street corner this time of year...

and say he doesn't exist but can't prove it

Well, I mean, you COULD make a trek to his "home"... the North Pole... and knock on his door. Right? And if he's not home, then maybe he doesn't exist. Christ, however, does not reside at the North Pole... or any other physical place... except perhaps the "temple"... which is your body, above the "ark" of YOUR "covenant" with him. Perhaps if you looked for him THERE...

    Just sayin'...

    Again, peace to you!

    A slave of Christ,

    SA
