Yes bio, I like it, thank you!

    ------------------------------------

Merely rejecting christ makes one an anti-christ.

I have a new understanding. The premise is part right, part wrong.

It is only them who have once sided with the son and then rejecting him that can be considered anti-christ to well define what YOU said*

For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them. 2 Peter 2:21

"But let your statement be, 'Yes, yes ' or 'No, no'; anything beyond these is of evil". Matthew 5:37

Saying YES is acceptable, saying no is satisfactory but saying yes then no is being sided to evil.

But of course one has not really said YES to Christ when getting baptized as a member of the Watchtower Society, has he? That is between the person being baptized and the Spirit od God.

    Peace!

*There are also people who choose other ways, but I'm answering your post. OK?

Then someone might say to self "I believe I had sided with The Christ the messiah when I was baptized but now I fear I can do nothing for something I do not understand".

Please do not say to self "nothing".

David said to his men, "Each of you gird on his sword." So each man girded on his sword. And David also girded on his sword, and about four hundred men went up behind David while two hundred stayed with the baggage. 1 Samuel 25:13

"And who will listen to you in this matter? For as his share is who goes down to the battle, so shall his share be who stays by the baggage; they shall share alike." 1 Samuel 30:24

Hello, I have come galumphing back, and find this thread still perfectly on the track it has always been on...

I think that the bible doesn't define anything.

It makes a pretty good attempt to define faith.

David said to his men, "Each of you gird on his sword." So each man girded on his sword. And David also girded on his sword, and about four hundred men went up behind David while two hundred stayed with the baggage. 1 Samuel 25:13

I would read that to mean that the two hundred who stayed to guard the baggage had their swords on too. They did not run away.

What was the topic again? Something about two forces?

The pattern of two is proceeding, is it not?

Can we be seeking righteousness with out proving it? Yes! I am sure world can do that.
    Righteousness will prove itself.

    Yes to both.

I for one think that sentencing people to death for eating a piece of fruit from a tree is unrighteous. I think it was unrighteous to set up that test.
I would do a long jail sentence if I killed a couple of kids for stealing fruit from my cherry or apple tree.

I have a bear that steals fruit from my trees at the mountain cabin, and I would at least pay a big fine if I shot him for it.

You might have a point... BUT... God did NOT kill Adam and Eve for eating from that tree. Death was a consequence of eating from the tree. (if you eat, you will die... not if you eat, I will kill you)

    Knowledge =knowing, experiencing

Good = life (and any other good you can think of)

Bad = Death (suffering, illness, sorrow, and any other bad you can think of)

It was not the tree of distinguishing good from bad. (THAT is what Solomon asked and was praised for)

Do not eat or you will die is a warning. Not a threat.

    Peace,

    Tammy

I noticed that the top one has one more "-" than the bottom one. Was that a freudian slip?

You can't sneak by me, no sir!

I would never dream of trying. The others here need me to translate and to guide the thread back on topic. What were the Two Forces, again? PS - I am feeling very mingy & fresh this morning. I believe there was Irish Spring soap in the shower.

So you are saying the tree of good and evil was poisonous? If I had a poisonous tree at the cabin, I would chop it down so that the bear could not get at it.
