Thanks guys! We're now on 137 downloads for the results PDF, and the number of those taking the survey is steadily increasing.
Juan Viejo2 and I have decided to post the results in 7 hard copies by recorded delivery, giving the Governing Body 14 days to respond. If they respond, great. If they don't they will be demonstrating complete disdain for the views of 1,118 current, former and potential Witnesses.

I will without question take the survey tomorrow. Will be fun!
Cedars that was really nice of you putting together a smile pic of GB instead of making them look all sinister with heavy shading like they did with the OJ cover photo of the Times!
May I make a survey question request for your updated version? When asked about getting DF'd, I couldn't answer any of those listed. I was DF'd for not wanting to be forced into repenting on a dime. The more I was being muscled into it, the more I refused out of principle. To top it off, my so called sin wasn't even a major moral sin.....I smoked a few cigarettes while inactive....
Maybe two requests......one for inactive ones and the other for forced repentence....
Some had teased me saying, at least I should have gotten layed or done something really bad and go out with a bang......

Haha, thanks mind blown, that's definitely an unusual scenario. Shouldn't that come under a new option, "none of the above"?! I'll definitely take your story under consideration for next year's survey.

Cedars you've put a lot of work into this. Your report on the 2011 survey was very comprehensive . . . and an interesting read to fill in the gaps.
It's good to hear you're in for the long haul . . . the survey will hopefully grow steadily. Keep plugging it and stuff the knockers.
And of course . . . Neil Finn gets a

Sizemik - thanks so much for those kind words of support. I never imagined when I started out down this path that I would be so heavily involved in "surveys" of any kind, but I guess it's my job now, so I'd better get used to it! And yes, I'm in for the long haul. Glad you liked the survey results.
And I'm a HUGE Neil Finn fan. He is arguably one of the most under-valued songwriters of our age. I'd put him right up there with Lennon and McCartney.
Besty - yes, I'm afraid we're pretty much dictating terms to the GB on this. I guess it will do them no harm to learn to operate outside of their comfort zone!

Cedars, thanking you and those with you, in advance for the future beneficial outcomes I sense for the victims of the Watchtower.
The letter seems very well considered and written.
Personally I did not know what to make of the possibility of you meeting with those who are wilfully blind, irreformable and illegitimate and of whom Jesus said: "LET them be. Blind guides is what they are. If, then, a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)
I would hate for them to influence or compromise your work and the potential benefits many have waited decades for. People who have to be forced to do the right thing simply cannot be trusted.
However I trust you and yours will continue to receive and be guided by empowering humility and higher wisdom as I personally believe you already have in these matters.

CEDARS- Very well written message to the GB. Way to go. As you stated, whether they read it or not is up to them, at least you are trying to communicate a well rounded message to them. The quote 00DAD quoted from you saying, " It is difficult to believe the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses feels comfortable with potentially thousands of it's members worshipping alongside them under a pretense. "
I tend to think the JW members are worshipping UNDER the GB rather than alongside them. And I think also the Governing Body feels quite comfortable with the rank & file Witnesses worshipping UNDER them rather than alongside them. It is NOT an equal relationship- it's more of a owner / slave relationship in reality. And I feel the Governing Body feels no qualms of conscience whatsoever in working this pretense through manipulation and control of rank & file JW's.
After 8 years out of this organization myself - that's how evil and deceiving I feel the leaders of this mind control cult are. Individuals don't matter to them. JW's opinions don't matter to them. They will keep the WT organization machine running in spite of your good advice and in spite of all of our good advice. However I admire your tenacity and efforts. Good job
