Although the idea of an 'inside man' on the writing committee planting an 'Easter egg' like this is enticing, the more plausible explanation does seem to be the recycling theory. Most will think "Oh golly! We must be SOOOOO close with a title like this!" while very few will say to themselves "They were saying this same thing 40-50 years ago--what the hell?"
Does WT do this on purpose or are they just out of ideas? 2012 Special Talk

Goooooood grief....
Personally, I think that it's the Watchtower Corporation's way of "flipping the bird" at the Rank&File behind their backs...
There is such an undercurrent of contempt for the average JWs within the Watchtower organization, from their micro-management of JWs' lives to the Watchtower writers waving OBVIOUS discrepancies right under the noses of JWs -
Discrepancies that would be PLAIN as DAY to ANY JW who managed to go AGAINST the Gov.Bod's edicts AGAINST doing any independent research...
What a NASTY cult!!!

00DAD said above, "When I became a JW I learned more about Catholics and their beliefs than when I went to a Catholic high school. Now I'm learning more about JWs and what they believe here on JWN. What a weird world!!"
I couldn't agree more! I could say the exact same think. Of course, this should provide a lesson for all! You'll NEVER learn the REAL truth of your own religion from the "insiders"! You HAVE to look outside your religious circle to see what the critics are saying about your religion and then research it to see if what they are saying is based on facts!

I posted this on the YouTube video exposing the 2012 Special Talk entitled: "Is it Later than You Think?".
I believe this two-part question cannot be answered honestly by a Jehovah's Witness:
"Can any JW promise me that the WTS leaders will NEVER change their teaching on the? generation [again]? If you can't promise me, then why should I accept their current teaching (of "the generation") as coming from God's Holy Spirit?
[Please no song-and-dance replies, please provide a direct answer to these fair and reasonable questions.]"

Actually, that's a pretty good question to pose on any JW doctrine.
Although I'd revise the 2nd question a bit:
"If you can't assure me that the teaching will never change, then there is the possibilty that it is not true; yet if I proclaim that the teaching is not true, I will be disfellowshipped for 'apostasy' and/or 'causing divisions'. Can you explain to me why unity (really, conformity, but let's throw them a bone) is more important than truth?"

Yes, they may be just running out of ideas.
Rumor has it that the Public Talk at this summer's District Assemble will be "Millions Now Living Will Never Die"

They are stuck in a rut and their intellect is stifled they can not think creatively they are in a big thought loop brought on by the idea of a jealous God whos will it is to destroy all those who refuse to accept the truth as taught by them. You know those kinda ideas really can screw with you leave you with very little creativity.
Looks like their old "last ones on the Titanic" may be having its reverse fullfilment on them and not the world as they so commonly applied it.

Actually it is later than I thought.... It will always be if I look at the past. but if I look at the future it is sooner than I thought.
