Oh it's gonna get cooked soon. I was just thinking about what I wanted to do with the turkey a few days ago. I asked my mother to store the turkey because she has more freezer space than I. My father telling me to come get the turkey or he's going to throw it was just something to irk me yet again. He still pissed that his phone number is blocked from calling my house number, nevermind that he can reach me by my cell number. It's all about control.

" So now the lie."
What the lie was about is to dig at me (I'm apparently a bad mother) because my parents' access to me and my children is severely limited because of their hatred of my husband who they do not allow in their home. At every available opportunity my parents will and do slam and slander my husband. My husband is a good man and father and as always been very respectful of my parents, even when they haven't deserved the respect. The hatred is partly because my husband is not a jw and partly because of my mother's hope that I would marry a white man (yeah, she's got alot if self-hatred going on there).
The best I can do, because this has been ongoing for 20 years and I know that I can't change my parents, is to avoid them as much as possible and limit the amount of exposure of my kids.

What a great shame that we cannot choose our parents a Mrs Jones ? We could start a thread on who we would have chosen !
"Don't you hate it when someone tells you something you know isn't right and yet they really believe it? How frustrating is that.. "
J W's do that to me all the time. That was your point I guess Snoozy ?
Sorry you have to put up with this nasty behaviour Mrs Jones, it just leaves such a nasty feeling in the gut, you know that full on retaliation and revenge are wrong, coming down to their low level, but we are so powerless in the face of their cold hateful attitude.
All we can do is get the odd dig in to show their lack of love for the un-christian act it is.
I just comfort myself by saying it is all coming from the cult mind control of the WT, not from my loved ones real selves.

When I tried to tell her otherwise (my daughter was with me driving to pick up my youngest son from his after school program about 18 miles away) she brushed me off and said she knows what her granddaughter looks like and I shouldn't let my daughter run the streets without her brothers.
LOL! I'd have told her "I know what my daughter looks like it was definitely her sitting with me in my car." Maybe it's time for her to visit to an optometrist, and then to her proctologist to remove her head from her ass.

I like to buy turkeys when they are on sale and save them for later. Everyone at my house really likes turkey, and it's hard to find one at the store anytime except right at Thanksgiving, Christmas and maybe Easter. I want turkey more than 3 times a year.

Limiting contact is all you can do.they both sound totally idiotic to me. I have had a similar experience where I had a relative trying to tell me my son had done something he definitely had not. As he has aspergers he can't lie to save himself so when he denied it I was inclined to believe him. She hadn't observed him misbehave and the only other suspect was the child most likely to do the very thing my son was accused of but he was the favourite. Sometimes you just can't reason with stupid.
Enjoy the turkey I really fancy a lovely juicy turkey about now.

I'm thinking I might try brining it. I've never done that before.
