Honestly, NC, me? I'd write him and tell him, "That was such a charming reply. Thank you. You are going straight into my reject pile. Now, go on, Have yourself a lovely little eternity."

Well of course. But he should know the reason I am rejecting him is not his unshakable faith, but his ignorance over exlamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is more than one type of evidence... not all is scientific evidence. Testimony is evidence. Hearsay is also evidence, just rarely allowed in a court of law (but we are not in a court of law). Observations of the world around us and behavior is also evidence. Personal revelation is evidence to the person receiving it. Evidence can be circumstantial, or personal, or scientific, or anecdotal, or testimonial, etc. Evidence of something does not mean proof of something, but it is still evidence.
Evidence helps to form or lead you to a conclusion.
I did not say that I could prove anything to you; I have never made such a claim... only that believers also follow evidence. People simply form different conclusions based on the evidence presented to them.
Therefore the argument that Jesus taught some truths is not an argument that everything he taught was true.
True.
But everything He taught was truth (that we can apply in our own lives), from my own personal observation and e x perience. Nor is He dead, but alive. So another truth, at least for me. That this is not a truth for you, I understand. But again, my statement was that believers have evidence that leads them to their belief. That evidence and their conclusion could be wrong... as could your own... but that does not mean they have no evidence upon which to build their faith.
Christ, Himself, is evidence for faith in God... due to his testimony.
Peace
Tec, it's not necessary to prove God to an atheist
I know. I wasn't trying to prove this either. Just backing up my thoughts on 'evidence' and answering questions.
Peace to you as well,

Where is the evidence that everything he taught is true? Where is the evidence that he is alive? Can the view that he is alive and that he is dead both be truth?

I added to my answer as soon as I posted it, NC... but you were too quick on the draw, lol.
We would have to go step by step through his teachings though, for me to show you how each is true from my observation and e x perience.
Can the view that he is alive and that he is dead both be truth?
No. He died... but he did not remain dead. Nor is he dead now. I have evidence of this, in hearing, in spirit, and in trust of his words and the witness accounts. So some evidence is personal, which verifies (to me) the testimonial evidence.

Is it backed by studies and other types of evidence. You need reliable sources to make such a claim. Ask yourself do you believe in Aliens, if not , then prove to me God exists?

Is what backed by studies and other types of evidence?
You need reliable sources to make such a claim.
What claim? That God e x ists?
"Reliable" is subjective... but I can personally make such a claim based on my own observations and e x periences.
You don't have to believe my claim.
Ask yourself do you believe in Aliens, if not , then prove to me God exists?
I have no idea if aliens are out there, or not. I have no e x perience of them. I think it likely that there is life on other planets... what manner of life is another question. I also think 'something is happening' for there to be so many accounts. What that something is, I cannot say.
