Thanks Perry and thanks tornapart for the link. I can't express how much I appreciate it when others help me to see bible truths much clearer.

Part of that post found on the link (written by 'Barich') states

"............. 6 On the night that Jesus instituted the Memorial of his death, he told his faithful apostles: “You are the ones that have stuck with me in my trials; and I make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.” (Luke 22:28-30) Jesus here referred to a special covenant that he made with his 144,000 spirit-begotten brothers, who would remain “faithful even to death” and prove themselves ‘conquerors.’—Revelation 2:10; 3:21.

7 Those of this limited group forgo all hopes of living forever on earth as humans of flesh and blood. They will reign with Christ in heaven, sitting on thrones to judge humankind. (Revelation 20:4, 6) Let us now examine other scriptures that apply only to these anointed ones and that show why the “other sheep” do not partake of the Memorial emblems.—John 10:16. —w06 2/15 p. 22 Gathering Things in Heaven and Things on Earth Contrary to what the above Watchtower states, Jesus did not make a "covenant for a kingdom" with his disciples, although he definitely is the mediator of the "new covenant." (Heb. 9:15) According to Luke's account, on the night when Jesus celebrated the last Passover with his disciples and instituted the memorial of his death, he mentioned the new covenant when he took the cup and handed it to them saying: "This cup means the new covenant (διαθ?κη, di·a·the′ke) by virtue of my blood, which is to be poured out in your behalf." (Luke 22:20) But when Jesus promised the kingdom to his faithful disciples a moment later, he did not use the word "covenant. That the word "covenant" (διαθ?κη, di·a·the′ke) does not appear at Luke 22:29 is acknowledged in the New World Translation Reference Bible (Rbi8), for it omits the Scripture from the 33 places where the word covenant does appear in the Greek Scriptures. Here is what it says in the Appendix, page 1584: ........."

    Hey Perry!

I'm a strong believer in the existence of intergenerational demonic strongholds.

This belief is based on experience.

In our family these debilitating strongholds of fear, shame, embarrassment and guilt were propagated by means of 7 years of incestuous rape of a 6 year old girl. The only thing that has ever helped to start dismantling these strongholds of many decades has been the unabridged gospel, faith and Jesus.

Don't doubt for a moment when I tell you that the Watchtower appointed and kept this evil man as an elder. Of course he will do his best to side with perpetrators against victims in every case he is involved in, to avoid the accusations of his conscience. Of course he has and will continue to seek out opportunities to propagate further rape induced demonic strongholds in more child victims.

Rabbi Moses ben Maimon (Maimonides) in 1160 AD sought to help his people who had converted to Christianity under the pressure of Anusim with his celebrated 'Letter on Apostacsy' in which in order to survive a Jew would fake their public christianity and in their homes keep the commandment of the real covenant [mitzot].

Still it was not enough for some Christians who suspected the Jews were living Jewish lives in private. In 1355AD in Toledo Spain 12,000 Jews were butchered and in 1391AD 4,000 were butchered by Christians in Seville Spain. Again within a 3 month period 50,000 Jews would be killed for being Jews and not genuinely following the false New Covenant of Jesus.

    Designs,

Thank you for the reminders of the horrors of Catholicism in Spain. The Catholic Popes also killed some 50 million bible-believing Christians during the 800 to 1200 year period known as the dark ages.

That sounds terrible Fernando. If you are ever in the San Antionio area, give me a shout. Would love to hear your testimony.

And the 'Christians' as you put it formed armies and slaughtered Christian Catholics right back and then they turned on the Jews in Europe and elsewhere. Loving groups.

Take your Bible Study group and go speak to your local Rabbi about 'Covenants' some day, great field trip going to the Synagogue.

'Christians', Jews, Muslims... all as bad as each other over the centuries. Not sure what that has to do with Perry's OP Designs?

true Christians follow what Jesus preached...to love their enemies. True Christians throughout the centuries are peace loving.

That's grossly inaccurate. I mean think about it. 50 million people killed would have wiped out the entire population of Europe. All of Europe didn't exceed 25 million people in the year 1000, when it started to boom.

tornapart- This has to do with statements in the Gospels that malign Jews. Ascribing the 'Covenant' to himself and his followers was just another method of marginalizing and defaming the Jewish people among several such statements and positions held by 'Jesus'. Once this was done violence soon followed against the 'Christ killers'.

See my early posts in other threads or do historical research on the false statement ascribed to the Jews at Jesus' Trial- 'His blood be upon us'.

Any violence committed 'in the name of Christ' went specifically AGAINST Christ's teachings. Turn the other cheek. Love one's enemies. Do good to those who harm you. Bless those who curse you. Etc, etc. So you had to ignore both Him and what He taught if you committed violence against anyone... Jewish or not.

    Peace,

    tammy

tec- I appreciate your sentiments, you are a kind person. Read some commentaries from Jewish writers on the Gospels to see the not so subtle attack on a people already under the boot of the most repressive regime of the day. 'Look your house is abandoned to you' meant the homeland was up for grabs, 'Give Caesars things to Caesar' showed the end of true Jewish Messanic hopes, and on it goes. Jesus saying he will return to toss the wicked into the everlasting fire is a very violent image to leave people with and history shows how it was interpreted by his followers.

Taking the 'Covenant' was just another means of disenfranchising the Jewish people. Relate it to the Native Nations here losing their homes and homeland to the European land grabbers who took under the banner of 'Manifest Destiny'.
