    Hey Michelle!

I'm wondering what your thoughts are on the unmerited IMPUTING of a right standing, a clean standing, sinlessness, perfection and sonship to ordinary undeserving fallen, dysfunctional, aberrant humans (sinners) - as a FREE GIFT?

Also, can one rightly observe that Jesus was hugely tolerant and benevolent toward all but religious leaders and those infested with a self-righteous religious spirit?

healing of the spirit and the body comes from Jesus Christ. He is the great physician.

No disagreement on this. Love helps to heal as well. Some learn of that through Christ. Some have the law of love written naturally on their hearts.

Love begets love. Forgiveness begets forgiveness. Peace, peace. Mercy, mercy.

this "place" you describe is a lot like the mount where all the baal worshippers met (1 kings 18:20)

I'm going to avoid looking up scriptures, because for every 'scripture' that says one thing, a person can find another scripture that says another, and I think it will not matter to you. I could be wrong. If one comes to me, then I will share it.

This 'place' though, is a place where some come after 'getting out of her'. The WTS being part of 'her'. Some who belong to Christ are here; some who are hurting because of the lies of the WTS about Christ and God are here. Some are here to search; some for friendship, some to offer help... and some to offer love (believer/non-believer alike) This place speaks to the truth of the lie that is the WTS. Not a bad thing. This not a place of false worship.

And even if it were, nothing is unclean to those who are clean. (looks like one came to me after all)

How much longer will the God of heaven tolerate this "place" before He brings judgement upon those in its midst?

The only 'place' anyone need concern themselves about is their own heart.

was Jesus wrong to display intolerance towards those who wouldn't repent? (matthew 11:20...)

Christ did not display intolerance. He simply spoke truth. And he is always there at anytime that anyone wants to turn to Him. Anyone; anytime.

But regardless... who has the right to state who does or does not belong to Him, or who is or is not accepted by Him? Or who he has forigiven; or who he shows mercy toward; or who he loves? He was rejected by many of His own people, and yet He still asked forgiveness for them, Michelle.

    Peace,

    tammy

Is this a farewell thread, from Tammy-pooh?

    No, love :)

Though I am going on vacation in a few days. But that is just for a week. I'm not planning on going anywhere.

Do you fancy a traditional English afternoon tea? I have a pot of tea with crumpets or I have scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream? Your choice?

Ooh, tea with crumpets please. I'm assuming crumpets are biscuits? It is past midnight now though.

P.S.S. Tec, please forgive me for using coarse language on your thread. I felt it was called for.

Lol, nothing to forgive, mrsjones, and thank you. Peace, tammy

    Christ did not display intolerance.

    Exactly.

(but, I have to say - with one exception --- the money changers in the temple, and I loved that about his story)

Keep on showing love, Tammy. That is Christ-like, and the true mark of a Christian, imnsho. I may not believe, but I do respect those who practice that premise of what Jesus taught (ie, what they preach). I find you to be neither hypocritical, nor passive-aggressive (I respect that in you).

Actually FHN is nice but Mylene is right.

Bible god is a vengeful monster whose wrath was appeased by the sight of Jesus' bloody body on the cross.

So I agree with Mylene but I would spit on her god and have a drink with FHN.

    Agreed, cofty!

Thank you Tal. I also like the clearing out of the money changers. Intolerance against hypocrisy and hate and hurting others and lies to gain advantage and oppress others... well, we should not be tolerant of those things. We should speak out against those things. Speaking out is not the same as judging/condemning though.

Bible god is a vengeful monster whose wrath was appeased by the sight of Jesus' bloody body on the cross.

Well, all I have to say about that is... thank GOD that Christ is the image of God, the Word of God, and the Truth of God.

    Not the bible.

    Peace,

    tammy

    From my JWN profile:

Please measure your god against this scripture:
''He that does not love has not come to know God because God is love.'' 1 John 4:8 ******
While doing that keep in mind 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 .*****

    1 Corinthians 13:4-8

    Worldwide English (New Testament) (WE)

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous. Love is not proud and does not boast.

5 Love does not do things that are not nice. Love does not just think of itself. Love does not get angry. Love holds no wrong feelings in the heart.

6 Love is not glad when people do wrong things. But it is always glad when they do right.

7 Love forgives everything. Love is always trusting, and always hoping, and never gives up.

    8 Love never ends.

I have the deepest respect for Jesus. I never gave up on him, not even in my darkest hours as a teenager, when I was very agnostic and at times almost athiestic. Jesus stood up against the hypocrisy of the religious leaders, the priests and the Pharisees in particular. Yet when he died the Bible says he asked his father to forgive his murderers. Jesus also hung out with people who were considered the ilk of society, the "sinners." One of my favorite stories about Jesus was when they went to arrest him in the Garden of Gethsemene, and he boldly stepped out of the shadows and said I am he or something similar. Then is when they all fell to the ground.
