In other words your disciples.
Really?
If someone is doing something, and another person sees the benefit in doing that... they have become the first person's disciple? There is no other reason? Can't be because they found benefit in that thing, themselves?
Anyone who learns or does anything that someone else does is a disciple of that person?
So you, then, are disciple of Dawkins. Because you use his atheist scale, over the dictionary definition of atheist.
Or is it because you see truth in something that he shared. You see the benefit in it.
I think you (and others making the same accusations) are drawing false dichotomies. Black or white.
I cannot even believe that this has become something about quoting, and then commenting. I will tell you that i wish people would respond to me in that way. Because so many times, what I have said is ignored... and I wonder "is that because they understood", or "is that because it was a good point, and they don't want to admit that, because they don't want to understand?" I have also found benefit in responding that way myself, because sometimes posts make absolutely no sense to me at all, and I have to break it down to even begin to attempt to respond to it.
(Plus there have been times when I have not responded in that way... and the meat or point has been missed by me; or the topic is sidetracked.)
Peace,
tammy
